I went 2-2 in my game #10 picks, and now I am 31-9 on the season. I guess my in depth scouting report did not help the Defenders much. As if I would go out of my way to assist Canada. Speaking of Canada, I am an engineering manager, and I had an ironic discussion this week. I was talking to a production supervisor the other night, and he was venting about his rough day. He went on and on about how certain people can be incompetent and how they just piss him off. I listened for a bit, and tried to encourage him, he is a good guy, and just needed a sounding board. I asked if these people were stupid, and he said, no, just freaking incompetent, and they can’t do the simplest things correctly. It was at this moment that I pointed out to him the fact that he was wearing his shirt backwards. And now, on with my picks.
Game #1. Los Alamos Engineers (8-2, 26/28) vs Imperial Eradication (7-3, 24/26). As for the Engineers, we need some water spread around the floor in front of us. Because as you should know, we engineers walk on water. Game #2. The Gaul Visigoths (8-2, 27/28) vs Bridgeport Bulldogs (7-3, 25/26). I am not sure why, but I saw a French lady at a Xmas party wearing a leopard print unitard the other night. It was weird, and would have fit in at a Halloween party better than an Xmas party. But for some strange reason, I wanted to “nail” (see below) the bejeebers out of her. It may have had something to do with the fact that she was a cougar, wearing a cougar-like outfit. It also may have had something to do with the fact that she was kind of hot, and had huge bazooms. And most likely, it had something to do with the fact that there was free booze at this party, and I had helped myself to several of the great NW’s finest micro-brews. Game #3. Ohio State DiamondCutters (5-5, 26/26) vs Blood River Sharks (3-7, 24/24). I am not a wrestling fan, but this chick is hot to me. Game #4. The Game of the Day. The Dark Phoenix (10-0, 24/28) vs Grass Valley Tunnel Trolls (9-1, 27/26). Wow, the Dark are in the game of the day a lot these days. Will they keep up? As for the Trolls, they run the crud out of the ball. When they get tired of running, they run some more. Their combo back is 5th in the conference for offensive MVP. Their elusive back is 2nd. They also have a ST HB who is 2nd in the conference as a ST returner. With all of that MVP talent laid out before me, how can I possibly pick against the Trolls? Oh yeah, because they will lose.
