Ok all. Listen up. It is about this time of the season that we have an idea of who the major players are, and who are the pretenders. I will be breaking out my “game of the day” starting with this post. I went 3-1 in my game 7 picks, and am 23-5 on the season. As I mentioned in my last post, here is my other dumbass/painful story from when I was younger. This is a pogo stick. http://www.vaiden.net/vintage_pogo_stick1.jpg You hop on it, bounce around, safe and fun right? Wrong. That damn thing is freaking hard to master, and frustrating. I used to spend hours trying to get the hang of it, but just never had the balance of a circus acrobat to do it. So, I then would use the pogo stick to see how high I could get it to bounce without me on it. I would slam it into the driveway and get that bad boy to bounce about 10 feet in the air. Well, on my very last slam, I angled it wrong, and the “V” of the pogo stick came right back at me, and hit me right in my neck. I could not breathe for like 45 seconds. Ouch, boy was that dumb. Necks are fleshy and sensitive, and try not to have things hit them. I have not touched a pogo stick since that day, approx 25 years ago.
Game #1. Detroit Bulletproof Vests (2-5, 22/22) vs NC Casual Nudists (1-6, 22/22). Now here is a team with a very appropriate team name. The Detroit squad chose wisely; shouldn’t everyone who lives in Detroit wear a bulletproof vest? Well done my friend, well done. Way to represent your city and own it. The Vests should cover against the birthday suits.
Game #2. Lake Titties (6-1, 26/27) vs Canada Defenders (6-1, 26/28). This could be a “game of the day” on most days, but not this day. I went to a Xmas party tonight, and there was a smoking hot lady there hanging out in the kitchen area. She had some great titicacas; she had a horde of men around her the whole night, listening to every word she said. You know what they were hearing? Blablabla, blablablabla. Game #3. Ohio St DiamondCutters (5-2, 25/25) vs Bridgeport Bulldogs (4-3, 24/25). Is this a dog or a turtle? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JIKaIriiK8w Even though this bulldog puppy is cute now, I am sure it will grow up to be ugly later. I like the Buckeyes to beat the Bulldogs.
Game #4. THE GAME OF THE DAY!! Woohoo! Dark Phoenix (7-0, 23/28) vs Osseo Outlaws (7-0, 27/28). Now that I know that Osseo is in Michigan, I will no longer call them the Ohio State Outlaws. Are the Wolverines ever going to be good again? Damn, they have sucked ever since Rich Rod has taken over. Okay, here is my breakdown of this game. Neither team has yet to be tested much this season, so this game will tell us a lot. These two teams are very similar, they both utilize a running QB, and do well with it. However, the Phoenix’ rushing QB also can throw the ball, he has thrown for about 7TDs on the season. The Outlaw rushing QB never throws, and I mean never. Both teams have a passing QB who is very prolific, top two in the division in passing TDs. However, these teams’ SoS is terrible, what will they do in this one, when there is some competition? Will they pass more, or run more? Both teams have displayed a pretty balanced attack this season, but this game will bring out their true colors. My grandma can pass the ball against some of the teams these guys have played this season. The Phoenix have 3 HBs, all who have at least 12 TDs, and all catch the ball. The Outlaws only have 2 HBs, a traditional power HB with 28 TD, and 0 catches, and an elusive HB with 30 TDs rushing, and 7 TDs catching. After breaking down these 2 teams, I have decided that the team that scores the most, will win. My gut tells me that the Phoenix just have more options on offense, and a bit stronger D, so they get my pick. The Dark oust the Outlaws.
