You need to pick 1 or 2 skills and maximize the hell out of them. You're probably already too balanced (which is nice in real life, but sucks for dots). I'm surprised people around here haven't already said to retire him.

Without a good plan in place, you'll just keep shotgunning points to a variety of skills. I'd spend the next 1-2 points to cap agility since you're already there, but then dump every single SP for a long while into a single skill. The goal in this game is to maximize the automatic level gains based on your archetype so that you get "free points" that grow skills higher than you'd be willing to spend points (ie getting strength up past 77).

Also depends on what you want out of this game - casually hopping around to different teams every season is one thing, but if you want to have a really good player you should probably retire him and make a new dot this offseason with a solid build plan.

From what I understood, capping abilities at max cap is one way to build, can capping other abilities at the first soft cap and then rotating through them is another. Is that not true?

rotating caps worked OK with the .33 ALGs pre-archetype. With the .5 ALGs it is typically much better to work on the most important majors first.

The rotating caps is still a solid method if you are 4-way training and looking for performance in the minors though.

Thanks. I don't think I could maintain interest if I was just dumping everything into tackling until I hit 77 with it. It seems to be much more fun for speed positions like HB/WR to build that way.

+1

Its boring, but that's the way to go. I have a lvl 18 LB who I've put every single SP into Speed. He's at 82 natural right now and I'll probably take it up to 84 before moving to Agility. That way, he should reach Speed 150, maybe more. Why? Because Elusive HBs and Receiving TEs will be that fast too. Can't catch them, can't tackle them. Thats what LBs do.

Safeties and WRs probably need to be nearer 160 Speed. Centers will have 170 Strength
