What happens if your team has been below the level of the league they play in, due to doing well? So next season they go by age, and end up in a lower level than this season. Does that count as a demotion?

If it's placement through the new league structure then it will not be considered a demotion.

Excellent. That's just the answer I was hoping for Will be nice to play against teams of the same age, for once.
