Like several others, I'm a bit skeptical from what I've seen also. Can you confirm this once more? And that all scrimmage, pre-season, and tourney games are the same in this regard?
Sorry 'bout the PM Catch, didn't realize you'd opened this back up already. How often do you expect to go thru these ?'s, provide answers, and restart these threads?

This was per Bort on 9/30 -- Chemistry is off for pre-season games and tournaments. Morale bonuses are not. (I'm not staying in this thread, just answering question because user requested it).

Pretty much everything you want to know about hurdle has already been answered:

As we all know that putting more then 10 points in a SA has diminishing returns, but what about the "bonus" SA. At what number does diminishing returns start?

Catch - at the beginning of the "Bonus" SA debacle you pulled 20% out of the air and said that 20% is about the bonus we get to the SA's. So does diminishing returns start at 8?

The same question for the other side, the "negative" SA's. Does diminshing returns start at 12?

Starts at 10 as well. If your bonus puts you at 10.5, then it's diminishing.

That 20% was just used for approximation values. The actual value is not going to be revealed.

You will get no actual indicator that the ability worked.

I would assume so but would have to look at the actual pbp of a ball carrier being pushed out of bounds and counting the tackles for that defender.

Could the "Go To Guy" VA be used sucessfully by a TE? If one looks at the literal wording of it, it seems to imply that it was designed only for WRs. Another implication seems to be that even if a TE *could* benefit from the VA that the presence of even one WR on the field that also had the VA would trump the TE having it.

It can be if the TE is the only one (or one of few receiving threats) with the VA. If there is a TE and WR on the field at the same time and both have the VA, the WR will take precedence.

Do dots of a given position have an inherent advantage at doing what they do over a dot of a different position.? For example, and all things equal, is a LB a better tackler than a CB? Is a CB better in pass coverage than a LB?

No, but the player's height/weight can impact how they do. For example, a 5'10", 180 pound CB will be better in pass coverage than a 6'3", 240 pound LB most of the time because they can move/cut quicker while the LB'er will be a better tackler because they are bigger/stronger.

Because then users would create multi's for the sole purpose of buying/owning teams.

Is One Handed Catch essentially like a 2% catching AEQ piece with a morale boosting component? Does it effect every catch play or only out of range balls? What is an out of range ball as determined by the sim?

What are the lines of succession in case Bort suddenly died? Would our invested flex be lost because the game would fold, is there a Mrs. Bort that would take over the family business, does Catch22 have an option to purchase the game, etc.?

Can we expand to an 18 game season and shorten the boring pre-season?

At what level does increasing stamina yield no noticeable benefits?

One Handed Catch increases the ability for a receiver to catch a low or out of reach ball, so yes in essence it's like a +% catching piece of AEQ. It also does contain a morale boost when a catch is made using the SA. An out of range ball will depend on several factors. Height of the ball, distance from the receiver and the receiver's attributes (especially things like jumping/catching).

Not revealing the lines of succession if Bort died - don't even want to think about that event tbh.

No on 18 game season/shortening pre-season.

Not going to give an answer on the last question - that's up to the user to identify and determine themselves.

Do we have a realistic timeline to get the voted-on suggestions into the game? How will you prioritize them: by the total votes they receive, or a percentage of "yes" votes with a total greater than a certain number (e.g. 2000), or by whichever ones you think you can do most quickly?

What exactly will it take to get this game out of Beta? A steady-state without changes so often, or a particular level of parity reached? When that's accomplished, what will you do to take this game to the next level? (imo these need to be discrete goals)

Max age will place a team in the appropriate cap. Performance and effective level will then be used to place them in their tier. Teams with better W-L record will be placed in the higher tiers. If there are logjams in placing a team in a tier, effective level wil then be used to determine which team should be placed in the higher tier.

There is no realistic timeline for getting voted-on suggestions into the game. As stated previously in this Q & A, these are merely ways to help GLB Admins determine which suggestions should be evaluated for possibly adding to the game. Priority will be based on a number of factors including user support and whether or not the suggestion would add to the game and is something that makes sense as a business to add to the game.

As for what it will take to get the game out of Beta? The real simple answer is when the game is in a stable state and we don't feel we will need to make any further massive changes. As for what we will do to take the game to the next level - we have marketing plans as to what we intend to do when we do move it out of Beta.

Unlikely there will be any more changes to the passing game as we are fairly pleased with what we are seeing at this point. We are evaluating passing in the minors and determining if we need to give a slightly larger buff than the one we currently have in place.

I've gone through and answered the majority of the questions asked. The ones that are on the first page that have not been answered I have submitted to Bort to answer. I will post those answers in this thread when he provides them to me. There will be another thread for asking questions put up later this week. Thanks for participating!
