It's worse out of the SG. Just runs forward into the tackler because he is too fast and agile. It's a problem that the mobile QBs get stuck in the pocket even though they weren't built that way.

That's catch's QB as well....so believe me he is very aware of this problem.

drops back way too far and HB waits too long to get out, imo. That's a problem that needs to be fixed in the play itself. Also, the RT should at least be chipping the SS on that play.

It's not my QB in particular. Call it hypothetical I guess, but those amount of blind-side sacks are what I see every time when these "exploits" pop up in Bugs each day.

With the exception of the time the opponents OLB and DE were 11 levels higher than my team, my QBs have never been sacked a lot and my team up until this season has been several levels lower than the competition. Don't take this as a brag, it's a point. The point being there are no exploits in blitzing. There are only formations that need countered. Which by the way is much easier this season with screens working. There are also some concepts about QB builds that are all wrong which allow QB pressure.

it works fine with the slower QB.....just doesn't work well with the fast one.

the core problem is

tons of speed + ALGs + equipment + VAs + +3 speed AEQ +sure tackler VA +DvG VA =

a stupid fast LB with almost no downside. all these problems come from the fact speed is the name of the game.

All they had to do was not do some crazy inside-out blocking coding on pass plays to be honest!

The OT's shoul drop back 100% of the time regardless or overload blitzes or quick LB gap blitzes. DE's will be forced to beat OT's via builds and player tactics as they do in Pro Casual BUT still challenge OC's by holding certain players back like a HB to handle gap blitzes and TE's on either side to handle overload blitzes!

Thats it thats all that has to be done. Add a few 2 TE sets to handle both side overload blitzes ad it gets even better.

I'm not a defensive guru with the DPC but it sure helps stop some easier then normal runs and all-slant passing routes i suspect!

I think a bigger problem than the DPC is the idiotic morale death-spirals that are happening these days. Get a pick-6 or 2 and bam, another 2-3-4-5-6 are down the pike. Why don't you all fix that too while your at it?

And tbh would require the least amount of time since the DPC is already there and DC's can still create their own plays they just would have to select pre-set "alignments" instaed of being able to move their dots around at will.....

Thank god, this is a MAJOR step toward simplification of GLB

This was all discussed in various forms on like pages 35-45 I think, but short story is that the offense shouldn't have to hold back their TE every single play and the current setup almost completely negates anything but 2 WR sets. There were other solutions discussed like hot reads and slant audibles, but you can check it if you like.

That logic is just asinine. Of course you should have to hold your TE back if your opponent blitzes every play. It's chess bro.

That's what they do in real football when setting up a pocket. Make the defenders go the long way and buy your QB a few ticks to get rid of the ball.

Part of the problem is that we have blitzers that are just as fast as the WR's coming full speed every down. So then what is a realistic amount of time for a QB to make decisions irl, isn't enough for a dot QB.

Everyone play pee wee ball and get rid of all the other garbage GLB introduced. pee wee ball is a blast. No cheats, no way of cheating the system. Its what season 1 and 2 was all about. Each season you start fresh. Everyone has a chance to win each and every season. I wish I could pay Bort to leave pee wee alone with the DPC, because its an entirely different game.

I didn't read all the posts here but has anyone ever suggested more offensive capabilities? I have never understood why there isn't a single 4 WR set, how about 2 TE packages? The ability to have a TE on both sides would help stop some blitz packages. I let my team expire when an overwhelming number of people cried to get 55 man rosters but have spent the past month on creating defensive plays and offensive packages for a new team. The fact that a 3-4 is seriously neglected makes it so you HAVE to create plays if you want to play that style of defense. Now if I am to understand this correctly, GLB cut roster sizes to help people that can't recruit. Made players specialize (which I actually like now that it is implemented) but because of that now we can't create defensive plays to take advantage of those specialized players? The fact that you create a playbook means that my creativity and EVERYONE else who is creative as far as making plays will be told to STFU because now DE's have a Dwight Freeny like spin move and can sack the QB quickly. Isn't that the point of a defense???? You tell us how we can create, how many STOP players we are limited to and now we have to run the plays you think we should? Instead of ruining the initiative of DC's why don't you focus on expanding the offense to give OC's more formation choices or better yet, let them create their own formations and plays. When governments take over a business and tell people who, what, when, where, why and how to run it the end result is always catastrophe because central planning has never worked better then a market, now matter how good the intentions. GLB admins cannot tell people who, what, when, where, why and how to run their teams and have the game endure success, no matter how good your intentions are. Leave the DPC alone and focus on giving us MORE choices for offense and the game will continue to improve.

rest tl;dr

More offense?!?! Ok, that's what we need because offenses are so under-powered that we need 150-140 games as the norm.

Not a realistic scenario tbh. There are other things I would like to see like quick hitter passes, screen buffs, more weak side screens as alternatives
