I've got 5 LB'ers in the top 11 in Conference LB'er rankings, but none higher than 22 in Conf. D rankings. Why are other positions so overpowering? One of my coverage Lb'ers in AA is first in LB'er rankings (while playing as backup), but only 22nd in Conference rankings. It's tuff for LB'ers to compete unless, like a very few, that are in the right system!

right now it's basically # of tackles with huge bonuses to FF's, INT's, TD's, sacks, etc.

you can be like 30th... have a pick 6 and move up to top 5 without doing much else.

in general, LB's don't get lots of INT's, TD's, sacks, etc. The only LB's who usually make the list are FF machines with lots of tackles.

its obvious that LBs are not main focal point in ur def scheme

change ur scheme and u will see better results

They get a whole lot more love than DTs.

(odd how there are 2 DTs between them in DT ranking but only 1 player in over all defense)

DT's never get any love, but if LB's are making lots of tackles... it's usually because of the DT's up front.

I just ran scripts to see who is making plays on our D. My FS was #1 on the vs run list... #2 on the vs pass list at making stops/defeats. He's basically our D MVP on the best D and he's ranked 136th among D players. so the ranking system is flawed... just accept it.

to me guys who make plays that force punts or 3rd and longs are worth gold. players who get 1-2 sacks and get destroyed agaisnt the run are worthless... but they'll be on the MVP list!!

They used to. Since season 14 or 15, however, they have gotten less and less each season.

Yeh Rage, i've never understood stuff like that in the rankings. Once had a DE who missed out on the MVP award for being 1st in the DE list but 2nd in total D, the winner was the 2nd DE, explain that lol.

As for LBers i totally agree, the only credit they really get is amongst the team itself on which they play. Would be interesting to see how LBers have ever won the D MVP. I guess the fact it's done on a lottery system amonst the top ten or however many it is gives them a better shot at it now though.
