Can anyone help me with my DT?

Like alot of us, I feel I'm just not getting the performance our of him I'm lookin' for. I know it's not the perfect build my any means, but I certainly don't think it's a disaster either.

Can anyone glance at him for me and lemme know what the next couple things I should really stress in his advancement?

Thanks a million.

Okay...first of all, here are some things you can do next season to get a little better.

15 points in Bullrusher, 15 in Heavyweight.

Have all EQ in strength, sell your Big Hit AEQ and get Break Block % instead. If you can get a third piece of AEQ, go for Wall, Shed Block or more Break Block%.

Take agility to 81.

However...some tough love for you: This DT will never be very good becuase you have around 6-10 points less strength than you should have, and 6-7 points less agility than you should have by this level....and there is really nothing effective you can do to make up this deficit at this point. The fact that you made some errors of inefficiency early in your career is the reason for your low effective level. You are a good 20 points behind the average DT of your level, and around 80-100 SPs behind a good one.

You may be able to have some effective snaps playing in leagues where you outlevel opponents, but you will not have a successful Pro career at DT.

The good news is that you could still make this dot into a very good STOP player, and high quality STOPs are like gold at the Pro and WL level!

To make him into a STOP dot, start training Blocking immediately, spend all SPs on tackling until you hit 78 or so, and move all EQ into speed. You will also want to get Stamina dna anconfidence to 50, Vision to 60 or 68, and Speed to at least 74 (78 would be much better.

Your priorities are Speed and Tackling.

Also, get at least 2 Force Fumble AEQ and change your Bonus SA to Head Hunter or Monster Hit.

Additional AEQ can be Make Tackle% or Monster Hit or more Force Fumble%.

I think you still have time to make this a dot that top WL teams will (eventually) desire greatly...and you can become part of an excellent organization that might teach you a lot.

Good luck

Thanks so, so much, tautology!

That was a good mix of hope and the hard truth. I thank you so much for spending the 5-10 minutes it took you to type this for someone you don't even know.

One follow-up question though :

When you say, "start training Blocking immediately".....are you saying it's worth the very, very small percentage in training that attribute? I mean, it's gonna take alotta time to improve my BLOCKING in that manner - even just by a single point. So again - in my position - is that really worth it??

No. He's saying to make him into a good STOP Dot, you need blocking so that you are good on both kickoffs/punts and kickoff/punt returns.
