Both my top games turned into blowouts. Ick.
The Top Eight
1. Buffalo Buffalos (LW 1):
Their offense was somewhat less explosive versus the Shamrocks, but their defense stil looked tough. They have one more easy game until they hit the brunt of their schedule.
2. Berlin Stormtroopers(LW 2):
I really was close to bumping them up to number 1 after their blowout verus Tranmere, but since they beat the Shamrocks by a sightly lesser margin than Buffalo, they stay number 2, for now. Suffice it to say, the battle for the #1 position is now much closer than it was a week ago. They face an angry Vatican Team that wants redempion for how their season started.
3. Rome Gladiators (LW 3):
Rome ran all over Munich, but that was expected. They are going to do unspeakable things to P-ville.
4. London Rippers(LW 4):
We set a team record in points last game, but versus an expansion team, that really doesn't mean much. After that game, we now have the top passer and the top rusher in the conference. However, we face the Sidhe who has the top receiver.
5. Kilkenny Sidhe (LW 5)
The Sidhe beat BC Crew by a surprisingly large margin, and they now are planing ways to try to stick the fact I am ranking their team below us in my face.
6. DrUnKiN LuNaTiCs Beer (LW 9):
Welcome back to number 6, where, as a member of the top 8, you have the privledge of reading my uneduated ramblings about your team. After getting their first win by more than 2 points, they come back home to the land of booze to take on a Tranmere team coming off a disheartening blowout.
7. Dublin Shamrocks (LW 7):
They lose, but it was a respectible loss against Buffalo, and I see them as the top 2-2 team at this time. They face another 2-2 team, BC Crew, which could end up being a critical game at the end of the season for determining who makes the playoffs and who misses out.
8. Dublin Fighting Irish (LW 10):
With Drunkin and Rome looking better, so does their two losses. After a gimme game versus Leeds, they have another on versus the recently renamed Camelot Crush
