Quick question on these:

If you set for example an OLB to cover the HB, then FB the next box, then Blitz on the far right one.

Would he:
A) cover the HB unless he blocks, then the FB, and blitz only if both stayed in to block?
B) cover whichever of the HB or FB releases to his side?
C) something else entirely ...

Just curious if there's anyway to effect the B choice ... I don't want an OLB running 30-40 yds sideways across the field to try to pickup a back flaring out the opposite side ...

first he checks if the HB goes, if he stays in, he checks the FB, if he stays in he blitzes

if you only want him, lets pretend it is the LOLB, to take the guy if he is going to his side, then pick ie
HB Strong -> FB Strong -> blitz/zone

remember in WI it is possible for both the HB and FB to go weakside on same play

Ahhh thanks, that's exactly what I was looking for - I saw the HB / FB settings, didn't look way down the list to the HB Weak / Strong, FB Weak / Strong specific ones.

And yeah I noticed several of the flood-style plays have both jetting out the same side, so I'll keep an eye on that - thanks again!

Unless he misses a vision check. And, I've noticed that LBs with a zone assignment last instead of blitz can be had by Look Off even though they made a successful earlier vision check and are covering man to man.
