Warrior General Games

So, we're going to have a coaches poll for a sort of power rankings each week. I'm thinking we will keep it to, say, the top 10 teams between Alpha and Zeta, since more would take too much time on everyone's part.

I'm also thinking of having a sort of "League Awards Race" in the poll, with the following, where you'd name your #1 candidate for the award and I'd list the top 3 or so:

League Offensive MVP
League Defensive MVP
Owner/GM of the year

And then having a game of the weak for Alpha and Zeta, picked with a fairly simple method -- league place total. I.E. 1 and 9 would be a 10 total while 2 and 4 would be a 6 total. 2 and 4 would then be game of the week.

I'm trying to keep this somewhat short. This will be limited to one vote per team, be it owner, GM, or a player representative. I'll have more details, and a test poll up soon. Any feedback, toss it up here.

I'd rather see something like #4 vs #5 as game of the week then #1 vs #7...
Because technically 1 and 7 would be game of the week by that method...

I say game of the week should be least difference in rank... Such as
#5 vs #6... 1 rank difference... #8 vs #10... 2 rank difference... 5 vs 6 is game of the week... If there's a tie... Then best ranked teams get it... So 5 vs 6 and 2 vs 3... 2 vs 3 wins it by superior rank

Well, we have a week or so to hammer out method of choosing game of the week. Though I do like your method forces. Then again, I'd rather see 1v3 as opposed to 15 v 16.

Honestly, it may just come down to voting in week 8 on what will probably be the week 9 game of the week. so one week in advance.

We could have a vote before the week 9 game to predict the winner and pick the week 10 game of the week. Or we can just pick a game of the week and say screw picking the winner.

I might even do a bit of a writeup on each game of the week, who knows.

Would you all rather just vote on a game of the week, or vote on it then for the next week, try to pick the winner? Heck, we could even use the rankings DSF is putting together, they'll be more accurate by week 9 and all.

How about determining the game of the week by the difference between rankings.... lowest difference towards the top wins?
