i have noticed and exorbant amount of deflections by opposing defenses this season. is there anything i can work on as a qb to minimize this?

I think it depends on your WR's ability to make a play on the ball, but also the amount of strength you have so the ball doesn't float in the air, just waiting for the defense to knock down.

well, i can't imagine my strength being the problem. it is 31.84. is that not enough, you think?

The problem is your playing with level 9 WR's. That's what I think anyway.

I hear that if your WR's have points in Jumping it helps.

If you want to decrease deflections you can try the following. In fact they all are just good advice all around for a QB.

1. Throwing stat increases pass accuracy and quality.
2. Strength increase pass velocity (less time for DBs to get in position)
3. Tight Spiral SA helps with pass quality as well
4. Don't use the favored targets advanced tactic for your QB.
5. Make sure the OC's game plan matches the type of coverage you expect (don't throw a ton of short passes if the other team is playing tight coverage)
6. Get the best WRs you can and make sure they are building their players well, plenty of agility and vision early on then if it continues once those are high jumping might help. Obviously speed will help them get open sooner as well.
7. If the deflections are turning into INTs work on confidence.

I've heard some people say strength helps WRs fight for positions too but can't verify it, haven't tested it.
