I can't seem to fine a detailed blitzer LB guide. I would appreciate it if you can answer some of my questions below:

1. Cap amount and order for skills

- Is this correct? 77 speed, 77 agility, 68 vision, 68 strength 68 tackling, 50 stamina, 50 confidence, 40 jumping

2. SAs

- My current choices are (in order): First Step, Disguise Blitz, and Super Vision. I know for FS and DB it should go all the way to 10, should I do the same for SV? and how about Shed Blocks, Is it worth it?

3. VAs

I don't have much Idea on what VAs for a blitzer, but I'm looking at Sure Tackler and Technique Man. Ideas for other VAs are welcome.

4. AEQ

I'd go for all speed on stats and for each SAs mentioned above, but I'd like to ask if % for break blocks and make tackle more effective than the SA?

That's all for my questions, if you want to add other ideas.. Please feel free to do so.

Thanks a lot!

i personally really like something like this when i run it through the builder:

speed to 77
agility to 73
tackling to 68
jumping to 68
vision to 68
strength to 61
SAs:
0-0-0-0-0
1-1-2-0-0
8 Disguise Blitz
8 Tunnel Vision
8 First Step

with all EQ in speed, you should be looking at something like 158 speed.

VAs, im far from an expert on LB VAs or even LBs for that matter, but i would probably go with streaky, DvG, pass rusher, and track star.

What about Head Of Steam/Blitz? I'm building a Blitzing LB too and some insight on the LB would be helpful.

well blitz, when tested with the speed script doesnt do much for your speed, so i would be hesitant to use it as an extra SA. as for head of steam, i would only use it on more of a strength based blitzing LB, one that is almost built like an extra lineman. i think the combination of shed blocks, head of steam would be deadly.. but again, you would need more strength than the build i gave above would give you. you dont want to be caked every down. the build i gave goes more along the lines of its better to not be touched at all.

Isn't 85 speed too high for other skills (especially agility) to be left late for softcap?

and why is jumping a priority for LBs? and why is it as high as 68?

it supposedly helps you get scaks by increasing your tackling radius, although some people are skeptical as the sim doesnt tell you if a sack was diving or not. the jumping will also help you drop into coverage.

although, you could probably get away with a lot less than i have in the build i gave. if you wanted to cut down on jumping, i would probably put those SP in strength to help him get caked less when he gets caught up on an OL.

When your dot shrinks on a sack, you "dove"
