It really wouldn't mean anything if we were, statistically, the best passing team ever. The passing boost is a recent add iirc, so it's not like everyone was on an even playing field.

If we happen to be number 1, one of two things will happen:

-we win PWG and more people go passing oriented. There will be some genius to shatter it
-we don't win PWG, the record stands because the passing thing didn't work so no one else tries it, and it doesn't matter cause we didn't win.

hate to burst your bubble but no one is basing their next years offensive philosophy on whether or not you win PWG...a passing only team has already won, and done so convincingly...ur just another team that throws the ball alot buddy

I strongly disagree, if PPM were to win healthily and managed to continue succeeding in its passing game as it has most of the season thus far, then you would be naive to think that teams wont attempt to model said success.

If we don't win I know I'll be looking over more times than I care to count the team that does to see just how they did it.

the thing is though, you are not the first team to run a pass heavy offense...check out the last 2 gold winners, and you will see they were pass heavy...more so SBWL in S15, but Crackertown in S16 used the pass as a major weapon...PPM is not the pioneer of the forward pass...you just happen to have a great OC

I am also not hating, just recognizing the fact that you are not the first team to pass its way to a PWG championship if you win.

I am also very certain NO ONE will be copying the PPM defense for next season

I agree with zmj44 here. I think PPM's offensive success will cause many teams to redo their offense and their passing % will likely increase. While I don't see any team doing a direct copy of PPM's offense, I bet a number of teams will study what Bleeds did on offense and incorporate it into their offense, tweaked to suit their needs. The farther PPM goes in the playoffs, the more teams will make changes.

I for one plan on doing just this. I have always been a heavy run team, but I need to change with the times. While I am not going to implement a copy of Bleeds offense, I do plan on studying his offense as well as the offenses of other successful passing teams and see what is successful and add that to my offense, tweaked to suit my needs. This will likely take my team to a more of a balanced offense rather than a run heavy offense.

PPM certainly isn't the first team to pioneer passing, but I don't think it makes it any less impressive. Bleeds has got that Offense rockin'. I doubt that I'll be studying his offense to try to incorporate it into mine, but that's just because I hate to study. If Perma.... err Stoner DTD's "intentionally crappy during the regular season" Defense doesn't hold them back, they could definitely win it all.

You guys might not like Stoner, but his defense isn't crappy. So far, he's proven to have an above average Gold defense (I don't think you can say he's worse than any team that didn't make the playoffs). Above Average in Gold = Top 5% in all of peewee, so you guys do give him a bit of crap.

And although some of you might be mad that I'm defending perma, I usually just call it like I see it so there it is.
