Starting things off in the Zeta Conference this week...

Chelsea Cardinals 14, Brighton Bears 46
Brighton's quarterbacks came out firing early and often in this one. Unleashing a pass-heavy offensive style in this one, Flex EZ finished the game with over 300 yards passing on 56 attempts. Chelsea actually led this one at the break 14-10, but the lead didn't live long into the second half. The first of EZ's touchdowns came on this play to the TE Stone capping their opening drive of the third quarter.

Italian Stallions 48, Helsinki Hammers 0
Stallions' quarterback Floyd hit a wide open Kenny Chesney for this score in the first quarter. Unfortunately for Helsinki, it didn't get any better for them the rest of the game. The Stallions remain unbeaten after cruising to a 31-0 halftime with Helsinki having a hard time ever getting in this one.

Rockaway Knights 17, Munich Maulers 0
The Zeta conference's other team heading into this week undefeated might start getting homesick for Cologne. Their first game in their new digs didn't go quite as they planned. The Knights, once again led by their quarterback Golden Accuracy and his two first half touchdown passes, blanked the Maulers in their first game in Munich. Tightend Roscoe Koffman lunges across the goalline on this play to cap a 14 play, nearly 8 minute drive by Rockaway to open the game.

Bay Area Invaders 0, Camelot Kings 27
They kept the magic going in Camelot this week with a drubbing of the Invaders. The Kings' Pike brothers did most the damage, combining for over 300 yards and 3 touchdowns. This 11 yard scamper by Speed closed the book on any chance for an Invader comeback.
http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?pbp_id=6654843

Ironton Tanks 54, Copenhagen Razorbacks 0
The Tanks visited Copenhagen this week and proved they were more than a 'defensive team'. Ironton punched in 7 offensive touchdowns on an overwhelming 90 offensive plays. Ironton's Jason Dean hammered the middle of the defense all day and came away with 3 touchdowns, including this one late in the first quarter.

Downey Vikings 10, Gibraltar Wild Monkeys 17
The Wild Monkeys got even with a win at home against the Vikings. Quarterback aldo licious led the way, going over 130 yards passing, and Sly Collins was able to reel in this licious pass with 1:48 to play, giving them the victory.
http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?pbp_id=6656583

Liege Red Roosters 17, Hamburg Parrots 42
Hamburg running backs, Mart H. Barlow and Lynford Johnson piled up 287 yards and 5 touchdowns on the day. Liege had problems keeping pace with the devastating rushing attack of the Parrots. Johnson added this 14 yard touchdown run to open the fourth quarter when the Red Roosters' fate was all but decided.

Rome Bulls 20, Eindhoven Breakers 0
The Bulls defense never gave the Breakers a shot in this one, parlaying a 7-0 halftime lead into a second half blowout. Rome's defense held Eindhoven to 44 yards rushing for the game and harrassed the Breaker quarterbacks. Defensive tackle Crash Johnson finished the game with 4 tackles (1 for a loss), a hurry, and this sack at the goalline to squelch the Breakers' best chance at coming away with a score.

I'll be back later with the Alpha Conference scores.

What makes you say that?

It's the nature of the beast in a new league.

Some teams come in already loaded with players. Maybe RL friends or some agrement made with the owner weeks ago. Those teams are far ahead of the other teams that hav only been tying to build their team since they received one.

It's the reason the promote/demote teams. It all balances out in the long run. Well, at least in theory.

I think we had the Brighton Bears on the run for a awhile.....like when I walked into their locker room wearing a grass skirt and chanting a curse on their QB......maybe I should have hired a real witch-docter.

Not all of us. I think we built a darn good team and did not start until we got the team. It took 3-4 days, but we did it.

Rockaway looks good, man. Nice work. I was in the same boat, building from scratch not with a group of friends ready to jump in and fill the gaps. There's still some issues to work out, but I like where we're heading.

As for the Alpha conference, I just ran out of time. I'll try to jump on when I get home from work tonight to throw those up.

It's the same with me. Sure, I had a few of my own higher level guys to bring over and I pretty much made my own offensive line out of frustration but it's just been non-stop recruiting for me.

This year it not my focus. I am aiming more for next year. Don't get we wrong, iw ant to win but it's not life and death.

Ask and ye shall receive... eventually.

Zurich Gnomes 0, Whitechapel Rippers 55
More of the same from the Rippers, the Gnomes just couldn't keep up with the boys from Whitechapel. The scoring started early with the Rippers' backs combining for nearly 300 yards rushing. Ryan Buss started it off with 6 minutes left in the first quarter with a 6 yard touchdown run, but it was this run broken by Poulakis for 40 yards 5 minutes into the second that seemed to take the wind out of the Zurich sails.

West Yorkshire Bling 6, Amsterdam Fire 17
A hard fought game, the Fire were led by their three quarterbacks combining for 223 yards and a TD. This pass from Dave Klatz to Twelve Fingaz on the first play of the fourth quarter gave Amsterdam all the breathing room they needed.
http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?pbp_id=6660534

Massillon Grizzlies 0, Rotterdam Harbourmasters 16
Rotterdam handed Massillon its second loss of the early season, blanking their offense in the effort. Tiberius Tate had a great game for the Harbourmaster defense, finishing with 4 tackles, 2 pass deflections, and this interception in the endzone to kill the Massillon red zone chance.
http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?pbp_id=6654505

Liverpool Scousers 16, Judah Lions 0
Liverpool also remained undefeated behind a stalwart defense and the rushing of Mr. Agility, who went for 116 yards on 24 carries. The Lions picked off the Scouser quarterbacks 3 times, but it wasn't enough to overcome the lack of offensive production. The Lions only managed 44 yards on the ground. The duo of Late Night and Evil Lemming took the ball away from the Lions running back on this play and helped set up a clock-killing 15 play drive late in the fourth quarter that resulted in the Scousers final field goal.
http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?pbp_id=6660909

Cherry Valley Wizards 10, Scotland Celtics 41
Cherry Valley's 7-0 lead lasted until nearly the end of the first quarter. Sir Runs Alot's three touchdowns in the first half were part of 24 unanswered points and allowed the Celtics to coast to victory in the second half. Sir Runs Alot had 3 touchdowns in the game on only 11 carries. After a third quarter field goal by the Wizards, Scotland promptly answered with a drive of their own culminating in this 38 yard strike from Warner to the tight end, Hand.
http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?pbp_id=6660464

Madrid Hares 0, Ljublana Chamois Scabs 21
Tom Rathmizzan reached the endzone three times more than anyone else in this one. The two Scabs fullbacks did the heavy lifting in this one. Rathmizzan and Felix Growe combined for 131 yards, including this dive from inside the 2 yard line in the first quarter.
http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?pbp_id=6652506

Barcelona Bulls 17, Tilburg Fighters 16
Barcelona needed 10 fourth quarter points to get to .500. Doogie Wells drilled the game-winning field goal with 3:27 remaining, and this 11 yard rumble by James Swift set up his touchdown dive two plays later that brought them within 2.
http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?pbp_id=6660892

Paris Penguins 0, Berlin Blitzkrieg 21
Berlin proved too much in yet another Alpha conference shutout this week. Berlin's quarterback, Forward Pass was excellent completing 70% of his passes for 258 yards. Pass was 3/4 for 36 yards on a third quarter drive that ended in this play, Berlin's final touchdown of the day.

Alright... That's it for week 4. Sorry I was so late finishing up the Alpha scores, but it's been a hectic couple days. Better late than never, right?

I could have done without the 'seriously', but thank you.

(First one to spot the quote gets bonus coverage for their game )
