As that shows, I have a private forum, but it has gone missing

The other thread was closed by an admin for an unrelated reason, so we should use this one for the bug.

Here is the situation:

If you own a private forum, you will no longer have access to that private forum until you go to your forum controls and invite yourself to the forum. This is a very simple work around that should take only a few seconds.

In the mean time, we'll get this moving along as a bug. Since VolBrian is on vaction, I'll do first verification. (our Bug Mod Leads private forum disappeared for me)

If someone can do second verification and move the thread, that'd be great. I'll file it as soon as it gets to the NEEDS TO BE FILED forum.

I just invited myself and it worked.

Ok I had to do this myself. As long as it's being looked into and soon fixed. I'm good. Was actually about to post a thread on this but caught this as I was scrolling down.

Yep.. I've noticed this, definitely a problem with Private Forums (and all forums possibly) atm.

Well, we can put this through, but I rather suspect this was a one-time deal from where the forums were brought down.

I think the workaround of adding yourself back to your private forums is all we're going to get and the root cause was the type of thing you can't prevent from causing problems.

can we move this along as not a bug then, since we've got a stickied thread in the main forums?

Yup - http://goallineblitz.com/game/forum_thread.pl?thread_id=4247721 describes how to work around the issue, and it appears to have been caused by the table crash, which isn't something Bort needs to code a fix for.

If this issue crops up again we can look at it again to see if there is some other cause.

Moving to Not A Bug.
