I had my draft tonight in a 10 team league. I drew the number 1 pick, put traded it. 2 reasons:
1. I am not high on CJ or AP
2. More importantly 1-5 pick are in 1 conference and 6-10 in the other. So I traded my 1st pick to the number 6 pick. In my mind 4 out of the top 5 teams picking knew what they were doing, so I slid to the weaker conference.
Here is who I have, (HOW DID I DO)
We start 1 QB 2 RB 3 WR 1 TE 1 K and 1 D
Give me a rating from 1 being bad to 10 being great, how i did
I having been doing fantasy football for 22 years, and I think I hit the jackpot this time.
QB-Kolb
QB--Favre

RB-Ryan Grant
RB-Mendenhall
RB-Marion Barber
RB-Brandon Jacobs
RB-Arian Foster
RB-Ricky Williams

WR-Andre Johnson
WR-Brandon Marshall

WR-Mike Wallace
WR-Jericho Crotchery
WR-Bernard Berrian

TE-Jermicahel Finely
TE_Mercedes Lewis

Yeah, thats about right. You're looking pretty solid depending on how the season breaks. (Its also hard without knowing your scoring system)

I think your team is pretty solid except at QB. Kolb is unproven but a good sleeper pick. Plays in a rough division though so he could get beat up. And Favre is still not 100% returning so that was a risky pick. I personally think the old bastard will be back but it's still a risky pick. I would say 6-8 depending on how the QB situation shakes out.

Solid team, but I'm not certain it is going to consistently put up high numbers. Not bad though, you are gambling on a few of those picks, not always a bad thing imo.

I like most of that team.. I'm not a fan of the Favre pick (just because we don't know how that will shake out) and I don't like Berrian or Cotchery.. but it's a solid team!!

Call me crazy, but I think he did hit the jackpot!
Especially if its a PPR league...
Obviously this all depends on health.

QB - Farve
WR - Andre Johnson
WR - Brandon Marshall
WR - Wes Welker
RB - Ryan Grant
RB - Mendenhall
TE - Jermicahel Finely
K - Jeff Reed
Def - Dallas

(I feel if you can potentially get 1,000 yards a cross the board, your don't pretty well. The only guy the may not break 1,000 is Finely, but he'll score being on GB.)

But if Favre actually doesn't come back...

He'll be on the field.

If not, Kolb isn't a horrible alternative... His supporting cast is young and ready to break out.
It would be a huge hit to the team if Brett gets hurt and CAN'T play (broken leg or some shit)...
but we all know Brett will be on the field for game 1.

Nothing personal, but I'd give you a 3.

1. So rather than select a consensus top 2 talent at RB you settled for a bunch of average joes. In fact I'm of the opinion that none of those backs are top 10 at their position. Factor in that a lot of those guys aren't that durable and you could have real problems at RB.

2. The top 2 WRs are studs. Welker I don't see having much value this year because I think he'll really struggle off the knee injury.

3. QB is a huge question mark. If Favre comes back obviously less of a question.. But still you are relying on a 40 year old QB and a dude who threw 4 TDs and 3 INTs a season ago.

Also just want to say why in the world would a league split conferences by picks 1-5 and 6-10?

I agree with 1. I would rather have a top 4 RB then anything at 6... but if its a PPR league and you get Johnson, its not too bad.

I also think its weird that you split the league up like that.

To further explain, a lot of my questions are at the RB and QB position. Nice WR's to be sure, but even still, I don't like hinging my entire team on WR's.

I wish the critics would have joined one of my APL leagues...
We'd know if you guys are just a bag of wind or can actually back up your talking!
