Getting my srsdotballing in before husker . . .
Hali over Nashville 43-18
The Hounds opened the season with a nice win against Lincoln, but after getting trashed by the Kai their rocky opening schedule continues. Hali hasn't played a top team yet, but they're the favorite in this one.
D9 Prawns over Mayan Prophecy 52-48
Mayan may be the most unpredictable team in the WL, as their offense is capable of scoring huge numbers of points for either team. D9's W2 game was surprisingly close, but I think Sin City is underrated. I like D9 to win in a shootout, but honestly nothing would surprise me.
Cobra Kai over Parma Panthers 96-14
The Panthers just got curb-stomped by LOL. The Kai will likely slaughter them by even more than the above score.
Smurfs over QCBC 49-32
Queen City played So Cal close, but after the Smurfs wild win over Mayan their defense is looking Gunny-esque. I think QC puts up a fight but ultimately can't score the points to win.
HHWC over So Cal 38-24
I think HHWC might be one of the top teams in Alpha this season, and while So Cal is a solid playoff contender, I think they're outgunned on defense. Both extremely well-coordinated teams, but HHWC's excellent build efficiency gives them the edge.
DotA over CSII 38-10
I have no idea how DotA is doing it, but they played well enough against Hali that they shouldn't have a problem with CSII.
LOL over Rosaria 66-60
Should be a close game between two similar teams. I think LOL wins in a shootout, but wouldn't be surprised if Rosarica is able to control the clock and outlast the Legionnaires.
Sin City over Tyrrhenian 58-20
Tyrrhenian showed they have some offensive firepower last week, but they're no match for the overachieving Assassins, who gave D9 all they could handle.
Saigon over Osaka 42-28
Game of the week. Osaka has looked extremely strong thus far, but I think Saigon is probably the best team in the game. Certainly possible Osaka keeps it closer than I predicted, but I don't think they're ready to take down Saigon yet.
Moose Jaw over Feebs 52-10
Feebs haven't been able to muster much on either side of the ball despite not facing a top team yet. Moose Jaw has shown a stout defense thus far, and Feebs won't be able to move the ball.
Blaze over Lincoln 63-31
Blaze can't lose three in a row . . . can they?
Speyside over Alpine 37-31
Gotta predict at least one upset--I still think Speyside is a sleeper, and after a tough game vs. Lincoln they get Alpine at home.
Indy over Krungthep 58-10
Indy beat Gunny's. Krungthep has had a brutal opening schedule, and it doesn't get any easier this week.
Gunny's over Russian 38-21
Gunny's wins, but the Russian defense keeps this one closer than you'd expect.
Shockers over CMC 65-17
Shockers look elite thus far, and after big wins over Smurfs and Blaze I think they continue to roll.
Monowi over Korb 58-32
Monowi's defense will have to stop giving up so many huge runs to be successful, but Korb doesn't have the defensive playmakers to stop Monowi's defense. However, Monowi will have to overcome lolSunshineMan AI to win.
