Are offers just blasted out to players within the league accepted level range regardless of age/abilities?

Correct. If you want to chose who signs with the team, do not enable this option.

Sounds like a worthless option.. Don't you ALWAYS want to choose who signs with your team??

yep.

I thought it would let me send an offer to renegotiate all the contracts already on the team(so i dont have to greasemonkey it)

So how does the player show interest for it to know to send a contract automatically?

Also, what are the position limits it works off of to decide to send the contract?

It's not an automated offer function for players you select, it's similar to how the d-league teams and current CPU teams offer contracts. If you select to allow offers to be sent from your roster page, any players matching the areas your team is short on will be sent an offer to join your team. The individual player would go to their contracts page and press the button to have offers sent from teams.

If you want to play for a specific team, or you want a specific player to play for you, you still need to manually send a contract directly to that player or have one sent from the team.

If you select to allow offers to be sent from your team, anyone within the leagues range, and is a position the team needs, will be sent a contract, regardless of build, boost/custom, age, sex, color, skinny, fat, etc... If you want control over who is able to join your team, do not enable this feature. If you are stuck recruiting and/or just want some players to join your team, feel free to enable the feature.

Not sure if that has been provided, but I will certainly ask. Would make sense to know what the programmed limits are.

IMO, this needs to be better explained in an announcement....I would bet that most players do not realize that they can ask for offers with their higher leveled players to show interest to get contracts sent automatically from teams with this setting active.

I think it could be a great recruiting feature, but I think most players don't know about it or understand how it can be used.

I just noticed our team has it turned on, but dont have any CPU players on it. Does it still send out offers? Cus I dont see any offers sent out in our offers page and we only have 1 FS, 3 safeties total.

Wouldn't it be better if we could manually specify what positions we'd like to have on our team?

...an even better idea is if we could specify the stats/attributes we'd like to have on our team.

MARKETPLACE

This is just an option for people who are having trouble filling out their roster and don't mind who they land.

We also need to be able to set a default contract offer that it sends out. Most guys only want to sign a contract ending on day 40 and the canned offer being sent now doesn't do that.

You guys really should put some thought into these changes before implementing them...don't get me wrong, because I think this was a great addition, but let's do it right huh?

While I do agree that all GLB contracts should just be changed to day 40, it isn't that big of a deal to handle automatic offers sent as 1 season contracts. If the agent wants to stay with the team, just send them a renewal offer. If you don't want them on the team, just release them on day 41.

Again, if you only want certain players or builds to join your team, don't enable the auto contract option - it wasn't designed to be a managed, auto-fill positions you want and not others, roster feature. If you don't care and just want a full roster of humans that you can maybe retain a handful of them to make a push in future seasons, enable the option.
