I can probably agree with the top 4-6, but the bottom 2 are going to be up for grabs. Loretto will definitely be challenging. UT Pimps and VCA could also be strong enough to take a spot. High Plains is tough to tell, as they looked to have had a pretty easy road to Gold, but aside from a couple early losses, they dominated their league. So who knows with them. And as far as my PAIN NATION team, ugh! I have no idea what to expect. At times we looked pretty good, but we also got our asses handed to us a few times.

MMD will be back in the playoffs this year after narrowly making it last season without boosting or buying CEQ... count on it.

You made the playoffs your 1st season in Gold and got to the 2nd round, which I still have not done in 3 seasons. I would say your 1st season was a success and more important, you learned a lot.

As for my projections, I just basically took a guess mainly based on team or coaching staff rep along with S16 performance. It could turn out radically different if teams over or under preform, or just surprise people.

Loretto Panthers were a hard team to find a spot for as they did really well against Gold teams in S16. Could easily be a #5-#7 seed if they do well. I think it will take them a year to adjust to Gold level defenses before they become really good, so this year will be a learning year for them and think they will go around .500.

I think Loretto and UT are 2 very similar teams and only giving Loretto the edge because it' has a Gold level DC and it's owner, robbbeck, is a GM on several Gold teams, so the Loretto coaching staff is a little more experienced than UT's coaching staff is.

If you boost/CEQ, then yes, but I don't see you getting back to the playoffs if you don't, and I believe you said you wouldn't boost/CEQ this season. That's the only reason I didn't include you.

Every season is a new season and I see MMD in playoffs too

Unless they boost and CEQ, I just don't see it. In a weaker than normal West in S16, they just missed the playoffs with a 7-9 record. With this S17 looking to be one of the harder ones in recent time, I just don't seeing them even matching what they did last season without the added assistance of boosting & CEQ. If they do, then of course I would put them as a play off team.

I won't bet against you making the playoffs. If you get out to a strong start, some late season losses may not prevent you from making the playoffs.

On a side note, it would be awesome to see a No boost/No CEQ make the playoffs. Even more so if you were able to win when you got there. I'll be rooting for ya. (obviously not when we play)

The funny thing is as a non boost team we put up more points against Cascade then any other Gold team in league play last season and were only second to the eventual Gold champions of points scored against them including scrims. However we weren't the best non-boost team in pee-wee last season as that honor goes to Project PeeWee Mayhem who beat us in the finals of the Non-Boost league as well as taking down SAS at one point during the season who has always been one of, if not, the best non-boosting team in pee-wee.
