Love it or hate it, the season is coming to a finish, with the playoffs at hand. Quite a few teams have a chance at winning. Any given Dotday.

The Rippers have had a solid season to this point, coming into the playoffs wondering if they are contenders or pretenders with the loss to the Pirates. The Zombies come into the game with revenge on their mindless heads after the close regular season game vs Yorkshire. This is very likely the only round one game in Alpha with a possible upset. The Zombies have improved over the season and will put up a fight, but just do not have the staying power to keep up with the Rippers. Close in the first half, Rippers take over in the second. Sorry Zombies, you don't have a prayer.

Both of these teams wobble into the playoffs. One wondering how much is left in the tank, the other wondering how much is left in the keg. The regular season match up, the oldsters handled the monks with a variety of our fathers and hail mary's. This time around may be different. As last game, the monks were able to move the ball pretty well. Have they matured enough to take down SoL? I do not think so. SoL results to trickery, grossing out the hung over monks with old people sex tapes.

The PIrates sail into the playoffs proud and confident. They have beaten two of themajor contenders already this season, and the remaining one is getting worse every day. The Knights are happy to be here, and hoping for some payback for the regular season game. The Pirates turned the the Knights into pages during the regular season game, though NIK did show glimmers of offense. Its simply not enough, they have too many holes to plug in the gameplan.

Both teams needed big plays to score, with the Pugs showing up when the game was on the line. The Gate Keepers pretty much beat them on everything except the score. I do not expect the same thing this game. Pugs fall in the first upset of the playoffs

Cudas swim into the playoffs in third place. Confident, having only had a few close ones, they are ready to move to the next round. The Gladiators are looking to redeem themselves after the late season loss to the Cudas. The Gladiators major concern, is how much longer can those old players hang on? Sorry, but just not enough gas left in the tank imo.
