I know Bort worked on this once. It looks like this one was missed. The FB is supposed to stop, but the TE shouldn't. I've ran this route a bunch and think the issue is that the TE is coded to stop once they hit that spot on the field. When dealing with a super fast TE and on that hash mark, it isn't enough. I'd suggest that the TE Goes to at least the outside of the #s and it'd be even better if he cut up field after that

Can you post a screenshot of what the play should look like, along with the settings the TE was using in their route running?

PP, I do not have access to see what this play should look like, nor do I know what the TE's tactics were set at. Please include them so I can look into this further.

After looking at the play, I would agree that the TE should continue with the route to the sideline. As far as anything after that I'm sure that creative route running would allow for the TE to go back up-field. Without knowing what settings the TE was on I cannot say whether or not the latter would happen. However, I can say that the route appears to say that it would continue to the sideline regardless and does not. I will call this likely a bug and see what other CS mods have to say.

edit: Thank you for the SS djmr.

Sorry, I don't know how to post pics, so thanks Djmr....As far as the TE's tactics, he isn't mine. I have no idea, but I don't believe that creative route running has an impact on whether they continue on with a route after they have reached the code's end point.

Honestly, I have no clue if they'll do anything about this or not. I would have put it in a thread in the GLB Test Advisors forum, but the thread on plays got deleted their and not sure why. so, I didn;t want to step on Catch's toes if he didn't want us talking about plays for some reason. Anyway, thanks

I'm gonna agree here that the TE should have gone ahead and at least done something besides stopping in the middle of the double team. Sending to QA

Not a bug. It isn't coded that receivers just "run around" after their route is over, even if it seems as simple as the receiver keep going across the field. Would it be nice? sure, but there isn't a flaw in the code itself, imo.

First verification.

not a bug- the TE stops right as the play is drawn up. Not that it should be this way but this happens all the time and bort has shut down the idea of receivers moving around on broken plays. I know it may be the red-headed stepchild you don't want to talk to, but this belongs in the suggestions forum.
