First WL CPU for OPL IIRC.

But definitely not the first team in WL to go CPU. There are other leagues who can take claim to have done this before OPL.

most teams from OPL are CPU performance-wise without actually selling the team. Shut down OPL

We tried disbanding OPL, but at the last minute, someone came in with a TV contract and that saved the league.

Sadly, one of the OPL members heard "TV contract," shot the league office's communal television set*, then thought he'd get fifty bucks for it. A weird episode all around.







* Magnavox from 1978. But it *was* a color set, and had a nice solid state cabinet.
