WEEK 3 Power Rankings

............................................................
Power Rankings Elephant Conf.

1. Cairo Centurians

Cairo Continues their undefeated streak beating a Tough UN team. This game was close and has people pondering if Cairo is overated. Austin Mceuen continued to pass the ball well hitting 16/28 and throwing a TD.

2. Comoros Crocodiles

The Crocs matched up against the diamonds in this weeks game of the week. They came into the game ranked 2 in the league however everyone put them as the underdog in this matchup. The Crocs did the unthinkable however playing great team football, working hard and pulled one out in one of the best games of the season thus far. D.3. played well after many threats from the diamonds who slated he would be shutout. QB Jay Plummer also hit a lot of key passes to help rally a win, passing over 60 percent. Plummer remains as a top threat at the position in the conf.

3. Congo Horror

The Horror continues to rally back after an upsetting week 1 loss to Cairo. This week they rolled all over a pumped up Zulu team. Zulu was overmatched by a talented Horror from the start of this one, proving the Horror is a true force to be delt with. Congo RB Bill Barilko should be noted as playing one hell of a game going for 140 plus yards and 3 TD’s. The real star of this weeks Horror show was LB Todd Bertuzzi, 4 tackles, 2 Force fumbles and 1 INT. Defense player of the week maybe?

4. Djibouti Trolls

The Troll pit is starting to really get loud as the trolls remain unbeaten. Each week they keep coming up with great wins and moving up the rankings. This week they beat up on a E'ci FAlkruns team that have seen problems so far this season. Troll superstar RB, Garry Black continues to sneak unnoticed while playing well. This week he ran for 90 yards and a TD pushing the trolls to victory. However Mr. Black has a long way before finding his name listed beside other famous backs in the conf.

5. Sierra Leone Diamonds

You can’t take anything away from the diamonds after there tough loss this week. Superstar WR Brandon Edwards continued his success with a TD and over 70 yards receiving while QB Tom Brady also played outstanding. The Diamonds will rally back from this loss and I see a great rivalry building off of this one that will collide in the playoffs.

6. Seattle NEThawks

Seattle continued there brutality this week crushing the flames, but lets face it, who don’t crush the flames. Seattle stands unbeaten but they have played the worst of the worst in the conf. It is on this note that they have slipped down in the power rankings although they remain unbeaten. Seattle RB Kile Gregorio had a big night against the flames putting up over 200 plus yards and 6 TD’s. A performance that could very well land him as player of the week. One things for sure he is a shining star in the backfield and one of the highlight players in the conf.

7.Dakar Lightnings

The Lightnings now 2-1 played a good game this week winning over the destroyers. The lightnings are seemly coming together and could pose a threat to other teams close to them in the rankings. TE bobby cromer played well for Dakar pulling in a TD in 2 recs.

8.Fulltiltforum.com Brownie Eaters

The Brownie eaters finally did it! They won a game and against a solid swinger team. One of the games of the week and a bit of a shocker. The Brownie eaters have now moved up in the rankings and maybe they will go on a hot streak after such a great win. RB Sexual "Dark" Chocolate caught our attention in this one rushing for 130 plus yards and 2 TDs, outshining the Swingers superstar RB LT1 who has been the center of attention in the league.

9.UN Peacekeepers

The peacekeepers suffered another heartbreaker this week losing to Cairo, but this loss is a very respectable loss. It was a close game and at times it looked like the UN may of pulled it off, however it slipped away and they got nailed with another L. The U.N offense struggled at both ends, rushing and passing and the only real bright spot was KR’er Adam “Pacman” Jones. After the game we tried getting a interview with pacman but he was a little more then upset and screamed profanities towards the camera.

10.Liberty City Swingers

The Swingers took a shocking loss this week to the brownie eaters. They dropped the ball both on offense and Defense and got beat fair and square. Highly Hyped RB LaDainian1 Tomlinson was locked down and shutout, LT1 rushed for slim 30 plus yards with no TDs a very disappointing outing. The only bright spot for the swingers this week has to be the play of CB Roberto Luongo who snagged himself a INT.

11.Gambia Zulu nation

Zulu came into this game really fueled after defeating the destroyers last week. However there peep was quickly curb stomped from the get go of this one. The horror proved to be to strong and this one got ungly fast. Look for the Zulu nation to shake off this loss and pick themselves up next week.

12. E'ci FAlkruns

E’ci are still looking for a break and we think they will get one if they hang in there. They are looking better as a team and will pull out a W in the upcoming weeks. This week proved to challenging for them and they suffered yet another loss.

13.Tripoli Terror

The terror ended their 2 game losing streak against Iowa this week but barely. To be honest we are not all that impressed over this win and there ranking will reflect this. We shall see how they continue to turn things around and how they rank in the upcoming weeks.

14.Microdizzle Destroyers

The destroyers had another disappointing outing this week losing to the lightnings but they are coming together. Talk about Defense the destroyers had a few Defense players that are bound to get attention after great performances in this upsetting loss. Lemont Ellis DE, 7 tackles 2 Force Fumbles, one hell of a game if you ask us here at GLB News. CB eddie thompson also put up 7 tackles and 2 INT”S these guys stand out as diamonds in the rough this week.

15.Iowa Fortress

The fortress continued to lose again this week but saw great improvement. They didn’t get blown out this week and for this reason they have been bumped up a slot in the power rankings.

16.Morocco Flames

The flames have now been titled the red headed step child of the conf getting smacked around week in week out. They have been blown out three weeks in a row and while there are other teams 0-3 others have made improvements they simply have not.

Ouch. UN drops to 9. That seems a little harsh after the very good effort they just put up.

Thanks as always. Very fun read.

The Brownie Eaters winning was not a shocker. I told you guys before to watch out. Maybe this LT hype will slow down now.

The reason you guys dropped so much was because you have only beat the destroyers, who everyone has beat.

You do know that the Morocco Flames are a team full of CPU players, right??? Of course they belong at 16, but until their owner actually fields a team of human players, there is not really any need to analyze their lack of improvement. They will probably lose every game. I'm assuming that their owner, since he got stuck with a team too late to recruit humans, is writing this year off and plans to field a team next year. Just a guess.

On a similar note, the Iowa Fortess have a defense that consists of a lot of CPU players and many of their backups are also CPUs, which is why they continue to struggle. Their owner seems to be recruiting players though, so they should fill out and get a win or two as the year goes on. They are getting better, which is why we (Tripoli Terror) "barely" ended our 2 game losing streak (to 2 of the best teams in the league), by beating the Fortress 17-3. The Fortress have been improving every week and are not full of CPUs like they were in their first 2 blowout losses.

Nevertheless, I enjoyed reading the write-up. I'm glad someone takes the time to have fun with the game like you do. The grammar and spelling (their/there) is tough to get around sometimes, but keep working and you'll get better!

When I write a term paper for college I have to spell check like mad and it takes me some time. However I dont feel like spending to much time writing these so I do simple spell checks.

Good read again man.

It really is nice to have someone that takes the time to do these, because it makes the league fun, and more than just numbers to look at, even giving it enough personality that you care what the other teams and even players are doing. Very cool and appreciated.

Players of the week should not include players that played vs. an all CPU team.

I didn't say he was the player of the week i was only talkng up the matches.

If I do players of the week it will be included in a video production last tonight or tomorrow sometime.

Does ESPN tell Randy Moss he's shit outta luck because he scores 4 touchdowns and 150 receiving yards against the Miami Dolphins?

"Sorry Randy, you can't have POW honors! The Dolphins suck!"

Randy Moss doesn't play against bums off the street either, that's where your analogy fails.

I'm sure we'll move up when we beat the crocs.

I'm not worried about it.
