The entire offensive line went down the field except C, LT, and LG, but 2 of the 3 not down the field were pancaked. Also, a classic blowout. Oops

Theres no penalties in GLB.....

and even if there were the line didnt go downfield they went sideways?

And the pass was behind the LOS so even if they had gone downfield its ok

But that is a horrible idea to just run down the field randomly, rather than protect the QB

but its a screen...thats the design of the play

It is a screen play. They are not suppose to protect the QB, they are suppose to protect the HB or WR when they get the ball thrown to them. The QB knows its a screen so will get ball off very quickly to that player.

Screens IRL don't just randomly have the HB catch a pass and the QB getting screwed up

Yeah, because in real life the O-line will wait a second and bump the defenders, before they take off, that way the QB will have a little more time. but this is a game, and they cant be able to do everything perfect.

Sure they do, it happens alot. If you let the D-lineman at the QB - he's running himself out of the play - one less guy to block. Get enough guys doing that and you have the Detroit Lions defense......

yes they do, that's the point of a screen pass. The linemen pull out, let their man ahve an open run at the QB, who tosses it to the HB who now has blockers in front of him.

If you dont know what a screen play is,then u need to learn more about football b4 playin a game...about football.
