In my team's first game of the season, we ran the ball game no matter the down and distance. More importantly plays were called that was not in my play calling package. There were 18 3rd downs, we ran the ball 17 time despite the down and distance of the third down. The ony time we passed the ball was when there was only 15 second left in the first half. Here are some examples of plays called on third and long that was not in my AI play calling;

3rd and 7 not in my play calling

3rd and 10, not one of my plays on third and long

http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=1230333&pbp_id=3527070
3rd and 14, not one of my plays in my plays in my third down N long package

3rd and 9.5, also not one of my plays in my third down N long package

http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=1230333&pbp_id=3528696
3rd and 12, also not one of my plays in my third down N long package

3rd and 14, also not one of my plays in my third down package

This happened all game long. Kuaggie looked at my offensive setting and suggest I post this as he didn't understand why this happened. He can share with you want he saw.

I'm not understand what going on with my team, the no ticket sales now this.

Please help.

A few questions so we can proceed:

Was your offense AI active? Did you see any AI issues outside of 3rd down? Anything else that would help us pinpoint the question would be helpful as well.

After looking through what kuaggie told Drez it appears that issues may be that an unchecked "follow AI directly" box or auto adjust turned up significantly. As one of the plays happened with 14 minutes to go in the 1st it does appear to be a bit of an issue though. At the moment and with the information I have at my disposal I will call this a possible bug.

It looks like all due diligence has been done here so I'll go ahead and send it to QA as a likely bug.

everything checks out. certain situations such as the 3rd & long situation had ONLY pass plays as part of the AI.

Two confounding variables occurred, however. First was the "follow my AI exactly", and secondly was the fact that every package was set on auto-adjust......so it's POSSIBLE that those were causing the problem. Before we mark this as a bug, I'd like to see drez set his AI to follow exactly and see if this problem reoccurs. PMing him now.

If having "follow exactly" turned off is causing running plays to be called heavily on 3rd and long...there might be an issue anyways. I always thought that setting was letting the computer AI make the game tilt towards "standard football calls".

I thought it reverted to basic AI if no matches were found.

Yeah if he makes those changes and has the same problems in his next match, we'll have to look into it further.

but the problem is you can always argue that even a 1% chance that it happens makes us unable to determine if w/o a doubt it's a bug

just heard back. Everything appears to be working fine. looks like it was the "follow AI exactly" option being checked off. Marking this as not a bug for now.
