Is there a solution to having your slot WR always playing in the WR3 position during 3 WR sets, when he is also mixed in the WR1 & 2 rotation?

Example: Slot WR only receiver in WR3 depth chart. He is also at the bottom of the WR1 & WR2 depth chart. In a 3 WR set, If the Slot WR fills the WR1 or WR2 position, then the AI will automatically force one of the other receivers in the WR3 position even though they are not on the WR3 depth chart.

All I want is the Slot WR to be part of the rotation in WR1 & WR2 during 2 WR sets and during 3 WR sets to always be in the slot. Is there any way to arrange the depth chart to achieve this?

put the WR that you want playing slot in the WR3 position as well as the WR position in your depth chart. That way the regular WR depth chart will be used until a 3rd receiver comes onto the field then that receiver will be locked into the WR3 spot.

So put the entire rotation in the WR position and just the slot receiver in the WR3 position, leaving WR1 & WR2 positions empty? I think I have tried that and the same thing happens above, In 3 WR sets if the slot receiver gets put in WR#1 or WR#2 then the AI forces another receiver into WR#3 even though they are not in the WR3 position. Hopefully I am wrong and will give it another try, thanks much.

Here is how I usually do it...

WR1 fastest WR 3rd best WR 99/1 energy
WR2 2nd & 4th best WRs or best blocking WRs 99/1 energy
WR3 3rd, then 4th, then 5th, and so on 98/99 energy
WR4 4th, then 5th and so on 98/99 energy
WR5 5th and so on. 98/99 energy

Just an update, it didn't work . I'm stumped, guess it can't be done.

You have to play around with the energy settings. Try 99/1 for WR3 in the custom energy. If you run a lot of sets with 3+ WRs though, your slot guy may get pretty tired so you could try 99/70 or something like that assuming you have a backup at WR3.

[EDIT] I see what angrydragon posted and looks like your best option. Have you tried that?
