That's not why we're doing it.. i have no problem spending $$ to play this game.
We're trying to get Bort and GLB to be more reasonable to new agents and competitive Pee Wee agents.
Whether it's a little bit higher return rate on Flex or a cheaper alternative to custom EQ.. like PING72 and Catch22's idea for Pee Wee EQ at 150 flex. ... or both.
There's a few issues going on IMO... upfront cost is too high and there's a need for higher rate of return on flex for early retirement.
IMO the upfront cost of competitive Pee Wee is hurting the retention rate of agents. I can't get any of my friends to last more than a season or two. They spend 25bucks for 3200 flex and they get to create 2 players that have to share playing time because young dots have no stamina. They would train their player, look at stats and tell me this game was boring. They would say, "wow my guy had 1 tackle." lol
What about new agents that build bad dots the first go around? I assigned points to special abilities on my first dot. If I would have tried to make a long term dot out of him.. and boosted after his first season.. would have wasted my money. I would've posted in the forums to "rate my build" and been told to retire immediately. That's another reason why there should be a higher return of flex based on player age. A lot of new agents land in the competitive Pee Wee environment and follow short term build plans too. These agents don't have the knowledge to know what they want out of GLB yet.. whether it's long term dot building or competitive Pee Wee. Yet, they get charged at the same rate as a seasoned agent that's retired a dot 10 seasons old.
What about some of the game nerfs? I'm sure there were seasoned agents burned by game changes.. You map out a build plan and 2-3 seasons later it's out of date because of sim changes or nerfs. Yet, you still get charged at 70%.
There seems to be alot of scenarios where people get the raw end of the deal.. and all that does is cause agents to leave the game. I know the game is in Beta and things change, but there needs to be a more complete pricing structure that deals with this stuff. People don't respond well to unfair policies.. especially when they lose money because of it.
