1) I'm afraid that if I put anyone else at #1 that the fans of GLB would revolt. Rioting would occur in the streets, cars overturned, stores looted, fires started and Grinch would truly steal Christmas. No, I can't do that to the world or, most importantly, the world's innocent little children. Therefore, I must put the ppl's champs, D9 as my pick for #1. In the interest of national security, I really no longer have a choice.
2) Nairobi Warthogs. What can I say. If it weren't for my incredible modesty, I would point out that early on I warned that these guys were going to be scary as hell late in the ssn. Well, they have been spreading fears like fires consuming the African plains during the dry ssn. After a 2 game hiccup against the Pred and RR, they've just went on to win 5 in a row, including knocking off 2 of the top teams in Ele. If it weren't for my incredible humility and unfaltering modesty, I'd say I told you so, but those traits preclude me from doing so. Wanna hear something amazing? There very well may be a 4 way time for first at the end of ssn, with all 4 teams sitting at 14-2. Far from a lock to happen, but amazing that it is a legit possibility all the same.
3) Carthage is a great team, and they honestly may be the top team in APL. Hell, I'd be hard pressed to win a debate that they aren't. Of the top Ele teams left, they have the toughest sched remaining, their 3 remaining teams left to play have a combined record of 28-11. My money is on them winning out, but wouldn't be the least bit surprised if they drop 1 either. Having them in the 3rd spot is frankly rather amazing to me.
4) Zambezi Silverbacks just keep winning. that's an overused statement with them. What's new and every bit as accurate is that they are now winning in impressive fashion. Not since the LOL game have they had an exciting game, blowing teams out of the water with apparent ease. This may be a bad sign for D9.
5) I don't know who the fuck to put here. RR was soundly beat by Carthage & the Dachshunds, but took the Hogs behind the woodshed. The Dachshunds did beat them just 2 "weeks" ago, though. so, I'm giving the Dachshunds the spot....RR not making the top 5 is wrong on every level, though too.
