I have 30 points to spend or well i will and another 6 from the custom equipment... Please tell me where to spend them so I can have an effective containment DE

No point in having a containment DE until the 3-4 comes out. Build your guy to pass rush thus he will contain the run

Well hes going to be a backup for awhile so it wont matter that much if hes not that good in the beginning

3-4 DEs would probably need a bunch into strength, vision, agility, and tackling. also train jumping so you can swat balls.

If you're making a 3-4 DE, you should basically build him as a pass rushing DT. LOTS of strength and agility, a bit of speed (30-ish would be more than enough imo) and great vision.
