Lion Conference:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pretoria Crusaders VS. Carthaginian War Elephants:

The Crusaders have put together a pretty good first season.. nothing inspiring but nothing to be ashamed of... and I believe they will finish the season at .500.. which isn't a bad thing at all.. but it won't be enough to get into the playoffs this season.. While the War Elephants have been on a roll lately.. nearly knocking off the top team 2 games ago and then hitting Somali like a ranaway train last week. I think that CWE has found their groove and are going to be somebody's least favorite round one opponent in the playoffs.. The Elephants are just too strong for any kind of Crusader.. and this one might get ugly late!!

Nigeria Nightmares VS. Ironton Tanks:

The Nightmares continue to show up every game.. but with a avg. player level of 61 heart will only get you so far (this sure isn't a Rocky movie).. while the Tanks have been taking their lumps this season.. I'm sure that they'll be more then happy to take advantage of the young day dreams.. Tanks pull out the big gun and blow up Nigeria!

D9 VS. LOL:

I'd love to go into a big long write up about how the LOL of old would have given D9 all they could handle.. but that's not what's on the plate today! D9 is coming off of 3 hard fought victories in a row.. and they'll be more then happy to run straight over (they have the most rushing attempts and yards in the conference) LOL this week! Nothing against Hokie's team.. but D9 is the current cream of the crop..

PHP VS. Sahara Storm:

The Storm get an easy stat padder as they anticipate their big match up with Uganda next week!

Cybertron War Machine VS. Sahara Sand Monsters:

I have good news and bad news for the War Machine.. good news is you're safe from AAA with a win today and another win in week 16.. the bad news is you have a really rough stretch coming after this week. Enjoy the victory.. sorry SSM you're showing nothings.. so I have nothing for you!

Uganda Silverbacks VS. Rwanda Headhunters:

This is a game that should be important.. the Silverbacks are looking to stick in that home playoff spot.. and the Headhunters are looking to stay in the playoff race! But that's about where I think this one ends.. any team that gives up over 200 yards per game is going to struggle to win... the Headhunters will put up a fight but eventually the Silverbacks will walk away with the heads still intact!

Bamako Black Magic VS. Zambezi Silverbacks:

The undefeated Silverbacks and the 7-3 Black Magic.. I'll admit that the Black Magic confuse me a bit.. they put together 7 wins.. but only one against a team that I think will be in the playoffs.. so I have a funny feeling that this one isn't going to be all that close.. The Silverbacks have done nothing but beat every team put in front of them.. including 4 teams that I believe are playoff bound! I think this week will show that Magic is little more then slight of hand and deception!

*Somali Pirates VS. Massawa Redhorns:
*Conference Game of the Week*

This one almost got the covitted conference game of the week.. almost! But this is a key match up because I believe this will be the game that decides who gets the 7 seed and who gets to play D9 to start the playoffs! Both have solid teams and this should be a good match up.. but what this one really comes down to is.. (insert mini-drumroll here).. Mr. Lane West! That's right.. the conference leader in rushing yards (did you know that his back up is 3rd in the conference) is going to get the ball.. and get the ball and probably get the ball.. the Pirates are second in the conference in rushing yards and third in rushing attempts.. Mr. West breaks 16 tackles per game while averaging a ridiculous 261 yards/game! If the Redhorns can't stop Mr. West ( they average 20 missed tackles per game) then they can't win this one! I think the Somali will steal the Massawa booty..
===========================================================================================
Elephant Conference:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
MaRawk!!o Evil Aces VS. Sons of Anubis:

Hey Evil Aces.. good news.. it's time to play SoA.. bad news is you have to play the Sons when they've been backed into a corner.. every game is important for the rest of the season so absolutely no opponent gets over looked. I don't expect this to be a blow out (by GLB standards) but a solid thumping regardless!

Kickin Djibouti VS. Ivory Coast Breakers:

After a really tough start to the season, the Breakers have managed to string together a nice little winning streak.. and they catch a Kickin team that is really struggling without their prolific passing game this season. One season ago and this game would have been one hell of a fun shootout to watch.. but this season I can see the Ivory Coast rolling over Djibouti to grab their 5th win in a row!

Mauritius Mountain Lions VS. Pirgos Warlords:

The Mountain Lions have improved dramatically over last season.. last season they were fighting off the return to AAA ball.. while this season they have a chance at finishing .500! The problem is this week they have to face the Warlords! The Warlords have proven to be a strong team and are led by DMcCormack and Lethal Injection II (both HBs are in the top 10 in the conference in rushing yars) .. which is always bad news for a team that allows over 220 yards per game on the ground. The Warlords will impose their will (running the ball) and slay these Mountain Lions!

Uganda Mounties VS. Sahara Sand Storm:

This should go down in our also playing section (if we had one).. two teams that average less then 230 yards of total offense/game and give up more then 440 yards of total offense/game each!! Apparently neither team will have a hard time hitting their offensive average!! This game is a coin flip.. and the way I'm looking at it the coin might land on it's edge.. I'll give Uganda the edge with the better rushing offense...

Somalia Warlords VS. Angola Blood Diamonds:

Somalia is just having one of those seasons.. I was pulling for them to get a win or two and stick around since I believe that they will be a strong team again... but due to budget cutbacks the light at the end of the tunnel had to be turned off.. I can see ABD celebrating victory #3

Rhodesia Ratels VS. Kiev Dynamos:

In a different week this game would have had consideration for game of the week.. but not this week! The Ratels are coming off of their first defeat of the season.. and I'm sure that Forbin and company aren't very excited about that.. which is really bad news for the Dynamos who are coming off of back to back losses for the first time this season. When it comes right down to it the Ratels are among the elite this season and while the Dynamos started out strong they have hit the meat of their schedule and it looks like they only brought a butter knife to the table.. the Ratels are going to run over, around and through the Dynamos today..

*okay.. quick break so I can just say WTF.. I can't pick a game of the week in this conference.. it's time for a couple of great match ups... because both of these games are important these teams will all have to share the GAME OF THE WEEK honors (and we all know that's a huge honor!)

The African Predators VS. Swaziland Dachshunds:

Well now its time for some great dot ball! The Predators and the Dachshunds ought to be a really good game.. The top two scoring offenses in the conference currently and two of the top 3 defenses in the conference (for points scored against).. both teams love to run the ball (and when I say love I mean they combone for 100.1 carries per game).. which allows them both to eat clock and rest their defense.. but this game is going to expose one of the defenses.. because they aren't going to spending their time with the cheerleaders and punters! What I think this one comes down to is previous competition though.. the Preds have already played 5 teams that I can see in the playoffs.. while Swazi has only played 2. I think this will be the game to see where the Dachshunds stand... and I don't think that it will be in second place anymore.. This is one cat that those little dogs shouldn't mess with!

Nairobi Warthogs VS. Carthage Mad Clash:

So Clash.. tell me.. are you tired of being part of the game of the week every week yet? Good news is you get a break.. just not yet! The Clash have stood up to every challenger so far and for the record I never questioned their toughness, they take care of business. They average over 290 yards/game in the air and on the ground (now that's balance).. and they've given up the second fewest points in the conference to go with that sick offense! While the Warthogs are this seasons Fun~N~Gun team.. averaging over 450 yards/game passing.. they can score from just about anywhere.. and this game they'll need to if they want to keep pace with Carthage. I can see this one being close.. but I truly believe that the Mad Clash are the top team in APL this season (no disrespect PP but they did rub your nose in the dirt in the tournament ) The Clash will continue to win this season.. this week by 9

Nice job Salesman, even though we keep letting you down in your game of the week projections. Who knows, maybe Lane will pull a hammy and not be able to finish the game..... (and by pull a hammy I mean get shot in the face with a bazooka)

I do know one thing though, no one is getting my booty! Damn Pirates.

I don't even have the heart to say I'm offended by you saying Carthage is the best team in APL....If they aren't, it's close enough to respect your opinion. Besides, I've had them down as #1 since they got the W against us in the tourney anyway. I'd love a rematch with them in the finals, though

Got the 2 Elephant Games of the Week wrong, but I will tell you that it will get crazy in the Elephant the rest of the way. There's no one team that stands out, but they are terribly good top 8 teams in the mix!

11 Turnovers
Are you freaking kidding me?

7 INTS

3 special teams fumbles (All in the 4th quarter)

This is the maddest I have been in a long, long time.

Sorry for posting this, but I am pissed off!
