If the algorithm is flawed so as to be unable to pick the MVP, why would one want to use it to determine the top 5 with any confidence?

I'd be satisfied with a team owner vote among the top five finalists. A "random" winner seems lazy to me, especially when there's an alternative that can involve the user base.

This is fucking terrible.

That would be better. The program could just list 5 players in alphabetical order that are deserving of consideration and the owners could take a vote.

Why stop at the Top 5?

We should just pick the MVP randomly out of every dot that played in the league that season. Now that would be fair.

I have to agree with this, the MVP is one of the highlights of this game no matter how it is won. This is a terrible aspect of the game to be taken out. Another big hit to competition, you would have to be crazy to think this is a good ideal.

The out lash here is proof at how overpowered that piece of endorsement equipment is. No one cares about being the MVP (clearly winning the trophy and having the title of MVP is not enough)... they just want that piece of equipment.

This new rules helps prevent teams/players from exploiting the system (wish they would have kept it 10... actually wish they would have removed the equipment piece all together).

Nice job changing my post, It's not about the EQ you get from winning the MVP. What about these random endorsements you get out of nowhere. I would rather get something that is worked for than just handed out.

You might not care about the MVP but most due.What's the sense of the HOF or the individual trophies then, let's get rid of stats while were at it, they too can be manipulated. Why even keep score anymore.

Why don't we just play TeeBall then where nobody keeps score & everyone gets a trophy at the end of the Season as we wouldn't want to hurt anyone's feelings. Pass the popcorn!

Dude... the player that finishes #1 in the MVP race is still awarded the MVP trophy. They still have bragging rights that they are the MVP. The only thing that is changing is that the MVP is no longer guaranteed the sweet piece of equipment. That said, dont try and sit there and tell me that "it's not about the EQ you get from winning the MVP"... that is fucking bullshit and you know it.

So wait, No.1 will still get the trophy, but maybe not the EQ?

The player that finishes #1 in the MVP race is still your lolMVP. They still get the lolMVP trophy. They still get to brag they are the lolMVP. The ONLY thing that is changing is that the sweet piece of equipment is no longer guaranteed to the lolMVP.
