there have been various threads over the GLB forums with people upset over the sim results this season. what is your opinion? do you like the changes or not? why is scoring up?

stamina and confidence changes makes games really lopsided

i feel they did fix a few things, left some flaws in the game and borted a few others.
the spins are overdone. the juke, spin and head fake never seemed to work. now, the spinning HB is everywhere. barry sanders would be proud.
i think they fixed some blocking issues which has opened up the passing game. some teams who relied on exploit blitzing are now having to find ways to get to the QB without it.
every season, they make changes that change how you played last season. as long as their are more "progresses" than "retreats", i guess i am ok.

the spiral is to much. one bad thing happens (KR/PR fumble) and it is all down hill from there

There are some things I'd like to see changed in the sim, but I also think the actually interactions are the best they've ever been in most cases. The killers are really the fumbles and death spirals. As far as balancing stuff goes, I honestly don't believe that could ever possibly happen until all % stacks are capped at 37.5% so that they can never possibly go higher under any conditions. I mean, seriously, HTF can you make a straight 10 Juke HB get anything our of fakes, but not make one with a 187.5% boost (which is amazingly possible with the right VA, AEQ stack) not be OMG over powered?! You flat out can't. Also, you can't tie spin to the slider without tying every other running SA to it. It's got to be an all or nothing deal.

I can't make up my mind. It seems like some things are still ridiculously imbalanced. (Passing game for 99% of teams is p much total shit)
Other things are pretty balanced. Inside rushing game seems to be right where it should be - Rhodesia is built to rush inside and we do as well as I would expect there. However, we are NOT built to rush outside, and we seem to be a LOT better than we should be in that area. Teams that have a back with speed that's built to rush outside can really really dominate in the right circumstances. (Hello, Bo Jackson - Africa Predators!)
QB Pressure is good. QB decision making is still total shit, though.
Spin can be pretty crazy, but is containable, if you gamble enough.

Oh, and the spiral doesn't concern me. That will address itself over time, as the people that built 40 confidence dots realize they fucked up.

this is what i think has happened to quite a few builds. for example, some builds got away with all speed (or some other attribute important to their position) for several seasons. they left many other attributes low and weren't punished for it. but now that the 'forgotten attributes' matter, their imbalanced builds are biting them in the butt. for most of these guys it is too late.
the stuff for next year might hide imbalanced players again.
