Not at the moment. We'll be adding a Hardcore League in the future where teams that wish to have those options can use them.

So

Hardcore - All the proposed changes
Regular - current system
Casual - current casual system
Super Casual - Like Bort has going in Suggestions
Peewee - Current Peewee

That actually sounds nice because it gives a good blend of options for all types of owners....is this what you are looking at?

That would be the intended effect, yes. Bort will have the exact numbers in the near future for every one to see.

OK, then I vote we go back to the other system or no change.

Yes, something along those lines.

So this "updated" post is going to be used in current leagues, then Bort is going to consider the Super Casual/Casual/HardCore, and the previously suggested changes will be used in the Hard Core leagues?

Edit: NVM, just saw your post above mine.

I don't get it anymore. :\

I mean, you were tying in salary to morale/confidence, which was at least semi-intelligent since you were actually changing something to make something else more important. You were also giving the team more to do with all the new stuff to buy in the preseason - now they have even less to do since they no longer have to do the EQ fund and contract negotiation is completely gone.

It just looks like we're treading water and adding something that was NGTH for seasons (the salary cap).

Why are we making this change if we're not actually improving anything? Change for the sake of change isn't really a good decision tbh

Yeah, I never thought of that...if salaries are based on effective level I think teams should be allowed to go over the cap, just come up w/ some sort of penalty....

To be honest, I'm a little disappointed. I think people were overestimating the effect salaries would have on their morale without realizing that permanent team upgrades, temporary upgrades, promotional days, etc would easily make up for that morale.

However I guess if this prevents people from ragequitting, then so be it. I just honestly don't think a lot of people understood the new system and denounced it at first glance.

i understand where you're coming from. but you must realize that the large majority of people playing this game just want to build their players and watch them play. very few people want to have to worry about how to run their team to the degree of the previously proposed changes.

Glad to hear it. Hopefully you can crank the intensity up a bit when you do that, because the changes actually seemed so tame as to be nothing but a speedbump when put in perspective.

if that's the case, this is a terrible idea.

Its better than it was last night...still not a fan of salary caps which are a terrible idea tbh but its getting there...still not sure if this is enough to make me want to run teams and such again next season though.

On one hand I am relieved, on the other I find it disappointing that the entire system was scrapped. I certainly would not have wanted to be Catch, Bort or the rest of the GLB crew these last couple of days, and I cam empathize with their perspective. This revision feels cobbled together, and thrown out to call off the hounds. I would have preferred an announcement saying the initial roll-out was under review and then time spent discussing for a few days before announcing the revisions....there was some good stuff in the initial roll-out and it appears to be mostly scrapped for 'future use'....

I think they would have come over better if there where screenshots to show instead of walls of text....however the hardcore idea may be a win/win in the end.

Im not sure further segregating leagues/teams is a good thing. You will further dilute talent, and other things.

Just my 2 cents

You can go over the cap. Just can't sign new players if you do.
