my biggest concern:

how much testing is being undergone to assure that once this is released it will be somewhat balanced/not completely break the sim?

Will previous height, weight, position, level, and or trophies have any relevance to the coaches that are rolled? That is if they are even rolled.

No, won't have any impact.

It'll be tested.

Will there be enough coaching spots to go around? I am under the impression that: # retired/retiring players over level 55 >>>>>>> teams x allowed coaches. I'd also guess % retired/retiring players over 55 who choose to coach > 60%.

this is a good question. Should there be some sort of limit to how many coaches a player can make?

Upper levels should give boosts of a more general sort. IE You do not expect Andy Reid to spend time doing reps with McNabb/JKolb because he has to focus on the big picture, but the QB coach sure does and would give him the most benefit.

you would also expect him not to do reps with McNabb because he plays for the redskins...

This is probably my least favorite of the three changes, but I am all for anything that adds more strategy and variation to the game. Cookie-Cutter leagues are boring.

This is also a major concern of mine as well. I'm just not sold on the idea that my $$$ and time are being properly considered when there are major updates to the game as such. Better for the game or better for GLB's bank account. I honestly don't see any reason to keep funding a BETA... I mean these new changes over the past few season have killed my team each season, whether we get put into a league we can't possibly compete in or changes that effect builds that are almost a year old. All we see is more stuff coming. Just think I've spent too much already and don't feel my investment is worth it while you guys figure it out. Should have been done way earlier and you guys should give us some incentive to keep spending $$$ in the mean time. I don't see any really. Not trying to be rude but just my opinion from what I've seen in games. I'm also a game programming and simulation student. They strongly preach against going about major overhauls and changes as these have been made. LIke we are paying testers is how I see it...

Scout

Scout Attributes

2 WR Run Offense - small penalty applied to opposing team'

This is nice

But here is a better add on supplemental idea

[Scout Attributes - 2 WR Run Offense of Target Opponent - significantl penalty applied to Specific opposing team

This could be a Tactic for the Scout, where he selects a team in the Scout Team page and then selects which Scout Attribute he wishes to focus on them with a larger penalty. However the Attribute requires some expenditure to build and to reset (ie skill points and/or bonus points to build it up like an SA, then Training Points to Set the Tactic against a team).

The thought being that the scout is spending time actually scouting the team for next week.

END

Okay at the end. I would love to see the idea expanded to include Conditioning, Equipment, Position Coaches, as well as Personal Trainers (hired by players not teams), and heck even my idea for Team Media personalities (ie the teams TV and Radio announcers and Beat Writers who can choose to amp up the base, amp up a player, demoralize the enemy or maybe even trash the team to allow changes that do not effect chemistry??).

But even so, this is pretty cool as is.
