It's 300 flex cheaper to convert a retired player then it is to create a new one from scratch.

Buy a coach will always be available.

You guys do realize that 300 flex mean almost nothing to the people who have players that can be retired and converted right. In the long run it would still be chaeaper to just create a new coach. So why will they have nothing to do with player stat, position, attribute, etc...?

I still haven't heard of a good reason for Coaches when it really only adds a slight advantage from Catch's own words. Does it fix any problem with the Sim? No Was it previously voted down 2 Season's ago? Yes Does the majority of the customer base want it? Probably a No, but we will never really know without a poll. So I assume if one team in said League uses Coaches to get the slight advantage(Ka-Ching) then other teams feel they have to do the same to be on a even playing field(Ka-Ching 31 more times). Are not changes made in the Sim suppose to even out the playing field and not make it more imbalanced? or is this a plot to get more money?......Hmmmm.

To me all this boils down to:

A. A game built around dots playing football

B. A game built around a RL sim of football and everything that goes with it from the organizational side.


If A is what we are after these new changes suck...if B is what we are after then the new changes make sense.

I'd love to hear what's fun about coaches, or what makes sense about it. A coach having influence over a single formation? Come on.

And I'm still shocked that there isn't a riot over the fact that coaches will be able to negatively affect the opposing team. I guess everyone's torches are out of fuel after fighting the other two frankenschemes that were rolled out.

I completely agree - the reason that coaches have been met with fewer torches and pitchforks is because the other two changes have been so much more heinous. Also, coaches are such an obvious cash-grab, that everyone's just resigned to the fact that they're going to be implemented regardless.

So when this rolls out Pro teams can only have 4 coaches right? Since it takes a while to get to HC status....

I have quite a few retired players I would like to convert to coaches next season, but most of them were renamed 'Retired Player'.

If we create coaches from retired players over 440 days, will we be able to rename them, or will they automatically get renamed to 'Coach' or something like that?

Not positive, but I would guess you would be able to rename them.
