Lion Conference:
==============================================================
Sahara Sand Monsters VS. Bamako Black Magic:
The Sand Monsters drew a tough Elephant team to start the season but bounced back in a big way last week against the Nightmares.. while the Black Magic have been just cruising along.. but it's time somebody found out what the Black Magic really have since they haven't played the toughest of competition yet. I think today we find that they don't have enough voodoo in bag o' tricks for the Sand Monsters.. I'll take the other Sahara by 17
Cybertron War Machine VS. Nigeria Nightmares:
The Nightmares are the youngest team in APL right now (and even if they're not they're close so don't jump on me too fast if I'm wrong).. but they did manage to put up 17 last week.. while CWM.. well they really need to figure out how to generate some offense.. 3 points won't get you very many wins.. but I can see you getting it going this week.. the War Machine gets its first APL W by 10
Lake Opeta Legionnaires VS. Ironton Tanks:
I think that this is going to be a very interesting game.. LOL doesn't have very many high level builds.. but I know they're all built great.. and the Tanks have had a couple of rough games to start the season.. I'm sure that they are looking to get that elusive first W as well.. When it comes right down to it... how would a Legionnaire even begin to attack a tank.. physics and weapons seems to point to a 7 point Ironton victory!
Massawa Redhorns VS. Rwanda Headhunters:
The Redhorns decided they might as well get a couple of victories out of the way early this season (well one so far) but this will be #2 the Headhunters just don't have the depth on defense to slow the Redhorns down.. and by the 4 the quarter this one will really get out of hand! Redhorns roll by 60+
Pretoria Crusaders VS. Zambezi Silverbacks:
The Silverbacks are off to a fast start this season and coming off a big rivalry game.. does that make this a trap game with CWE waiting for them next week? It might be! The Crusaders are going to have to protect the quarterback if they want to sneak a victory out at Four Forts Field.. I take Pretoria by 3
Somalia Pirates VS. PHP
Alright Pirates.. time to pad those stats!!
District 9 Prawns VS. Uganda SilverBacks:
It's finally time for the SilverBacks to play one of the teams in APL that didn't come up this season.. and happy birthday to you.. it's D9!! After taking a week off (as if they needed it) PP and company ought to have this high powered machine a would up and ready to run!! Sorry SilverBacks.. this is your official welcome to APL game.. now get behind the woodshed! Shrimpies by 40
Carthaginian War Elephants VS. Sahara Storm:
I don't know that these two teams are rivals.. but I can see a rivalry developing.. both teams had strong first seasons in APL (both making the playoffs).. and their game last season was decided by 4 points (Storm won for the new arrivals).. if the Storm hadn't lost to the Silverbacks I probably would have given the edge to CWE.. but I'm sure Rocky and company worked all weekend to make sure this isn't the start of a losing streak.. I'll take the Storm by 3 this year.

Elephant Conference:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sahara Sand Storm VS. Carthage Mad Clash:
S3 jumped out early last week and earned their first W in APL.. and it's a good thing that they got it out of the way last week.. because there is no way it's happening today!! The Clash dropped 97 on ICB last week and knowing them.. they were pissed they didn't hit triple digits.. which is what they'll try to do this week!! Sorry S3 you aren't going to enjoy this and it won't be over quickly!! CMC by 80
Uganda Mounties VS. Rhodesia Ratels:
It looks like these little rodents mean business this season... the offense is firing and the defense is clicking.. I was unsure what to think of the Mounties at the start.. they got a quick win against the Headhunters and then curled up into a little ball to limit the damage against the Predators!! I think this is another one of those weeks for the Mounties.. Rhodesia knaws the Mounties in half!! oh.. and they'll win by 60
Mauritius Mountain Lions VS. Sons of Anubis:
The Mountain Lions have definitely improved from last season.. scoring over 40 a game and yet to give up 20.. that usually leads to good news and it has so far! While the Sons have been busy fighting for their lives so far having a nasty game with D9 and their every season battle with Swazi.. but I think it's time find out what the Lions are made of.. you already know that I don't pick against SoA so what would you expect here.. SoA by 18
Kickin Djibouti VS. The African Predators:
I know that Kickin tends to get off to a slow start.. but I didn't see that one coming last week! While the Predators are just shredding teams like an African Hut! It appears that the Predators no longer want to be the Rodney Dangerfield of APL.. and they're making statements every game. I'm sure that Kickin will get this thing turned around (they always do) but this isn't a game they can afford to struggle in.. if they gave up 40 to the Mountain Lions.. they'll give up 80 to the Predators!!
Somalia Warlords VS. Nairobi Warthogs:
The Warlords will get things worked out and turned around eventually.. but the schedule didn't do them any favors with the Warthogs coming to visit this early!! This isn't a game that they will enjoy.. I'm sure they'll try to grind the ball and control the clock.. but the Warthogs have averaged 600 yds per game of offense.. and it's hard to slow that down!! Warthogs win big in this one...
Ivory Coast Breakers VS. Kiev Dynamos:
This ought to be a really good match up between two of the new teams to APL.. while the Breakers are struggling early this season I know that we're yet to see their best game. The Dynamos are playing some tough dot ball.. with a big victory against the Redhorns to start the season and a heart breaking loss to the Warlords.. just based on what they've done so far I'll have to give the edge to the Dynamos.. but his one will be another nail biter! Kiev by 3
Angola Blood Diamonds VS. MaRawk!!o Evil Aces:
ABD ran into the buzz saw that is Nairobi last week.. while the Evil Aces were dealing with Sahara overload.. both of these teams are going to continue to struggle this season.. but damn it somebody has to win this one (if you guys tie I'm done with match ups).. I don't know what it is.. but I have this funny feeling (which might just be the Taco Bell I had for lunch) that the Evil Aces get their first W today.. by 6
Pirgos Warlords VS. Swaziland Dachshunds:
*Game of the Week*
Both teams are coming off of really tough games.. while the Warlords were squeeking out a victory the Dachshunds were cursing the Sons of Anubis again!! The Warlords bring a very balanced offense into this game while the Dachshunds depend on defense and their running game.. This one will all be about who has the better game plan.. because these two teams are very evenly matched!! Swaziland pulled this one out last season 20-17.. and I think they'll do it again (maybe even by the same score)!
