FYI, God does not exist. The only thing God or the idea of God has done is cause violence, death, and corruption. Over what? The idea that one persons God is the right God and the others are wrong. Santa Claus, the Tooth Fairy, and Aliens are all just as likely to exist (actually....aliens would probably top that list of existence), yet millions pay homage to something that has zero evidence of existence. People who believe in Big Foot are crazy, yet the belief in God is seen as normal. People perform rituals on a weekly basis, rituals that when you step back from religion you see as being ridiculous.
Why do people like religion? It creates order for people who need it. They want to feel like when they die there is something else. They like to control others by forcing their own morality on people (totally hypocritical if you think about it). They want to believe they are right while others are wrong. It creates a "Fear Factor" amongst people... how many times have people said "YOU ARE GOING TO HELL". Without the fear factor religion fails. There is a reason its becoming less and less popular as time goes on. Just way too many flaws in that old story.
Blindly people are raised up in a religion, they follow it like its the TRUTH, and never question. Funny how sheepish people are. Next time you are in church do me a favor..... while people are performing their "rituals", watch them....change the word god or Jesus to Sun God, dragon, tooth fairy, or what ever makes you feel good. If they were not doing these rituals in the name of "god" would you consider them crazy? I certainly would.
ETA: Sorry if this is offensive to some. I don't judge you...if it makes you happy then cool, I just know it doesn't make me happy.
