Lion Conference~
===============================================================
Somalia Pirates @ Pretoria Crusaders:
These are two of the new teams to APL.. so in all honesty I'm not that familiar with them. From what I saw last week I'd say that the key to this game rests on the legs of the Pirates HBs.. with 47 carries last game between the 2 of them.. it looks like the Pirates are hoping to ride Kai and West to a victory.. but if they keep putting the ball on the digital turf it will be a long sad face season! The Crusaders will definitely have to get their offense fired up in this game if they want to win.. edge to the Pirates by 3
Lake Opeta Legionnaires @ Bamako Black Magic:
Again.. two of the new teams in APL.. The Black Magic seem to have a knack for drawing teams that are still on the rise.. but not to their peak yet.. if LOL can take care of the ball they'll keep this one close.. but otherwise the Black Magic and their creepy voodoo shit will win this one walking away! I'll take BBM by 10
Sahara Storm @ Zambezi Silverbacks:
These two teams are rivals.. and there is no question both of them want to improve to 2-0 and both of them really took care of business in Week 1. The question is have the Silverbacks learned from last seasons loss. I just think that the Silverbacks don't have enough to keep the Storm from proving they are among the top teams in Lion.. I'll take the Storm by 7
Cybertron War Machine @ Uganda SilverBacks:
The Silverbacks took a big victory in Week 1 wearing down S3 and then having their monkey way with them.. while the War Machine was getting dismantled by The African Predators.. unfortunately for CWM I think they're just too young right now and I can see SilverBacks running (and passing) wild again.. Uganda by 27 (but good news CWM you won't give up 81 this week)
District 9 Prawns @ PHP:
Good news for Droppin Dimes.. he gets a week to recover and pad some stats along with the rest of the Shrimpies!!
Massawa Redhorns @ Ironton Tanks:
Neither one of these teams could get their offense going last week!! So either this is going to be a 6-3 game.. or else they both learned from last weeks games and made a bunch of changes!! The Redhorns know that they can't afford to pull another Clash start.. so I'll give them the edge in this one by 6
Carthaginian War Elephants @ Rwanda Headhunters:
Last week CWE learned that it's not the size of the animal in the fight.. while the Headhunter were getting hunted down by some Mounties.. this week I think the Headhunters will just run for cover so they don't get stampeded! If CWE is smart they'll let Shabbos run up the middle since the Headhunters don't have much depth at DT or Safety.. and that will also keep Mr. Winnfield from getting confused about what color they are again! CWE by 35
Sahara Sand Monsters @ Nigeria Nightmares:
I'm sure the Sand Monsters are still trying to figure out why the Clash are so Mad.. but good news for them is they catch the Nightmares in transition.. so currently they're more like a day dream.. Sand Monsters get to 1-1 winning by 60
=============================================================================
Elephant Conference:
Mauritius Mountain Lions @ Kickin Djibouti:
The Mountain Lions got off to a good start this season.. while Kickin was coasting to an easy win! The two biggest questions about this game are both about the QB.. can Kickin protect their new young QB so that he doesn't make mistakes.. and can MML keep the Knight Who Says Ni (the one man wrecking crew) off of their QB.. I'll take Kickin in a turnover festival by 10
Uganda Mounties @ The African Predators:
Both of these teams controlled the clock in Week 1 (over 86 minutes in Time of Posetion) but unless they extend the quarters in this game something has to give!! The Mounties were able to run the way they did against a team with depth problems in the middle.. I don't see that with the Predators.. so unless they bring tranqulizers.. I'll take the Predators by 28
Pirgos Warlords @ Kiev Dynamos:
Two more teams that did a great deal of clock eating last game.. the difference is that Pirgos was here last season and I know that they are a powerful team.. and if Kiev turns the ball over 4 times this game they'll be more like exploded dynamite then Dynamos.. I'll take the Warlords by 24
Angola Blood Diamonds @ Nairobi Warthogs:
Sorry ABD.. like I said last week I'm sure you didn't plan to be here yet.. and you're just not ready.. The Warhogs didn't go easy on LOL last week and I don't think they will go easy on ABD this week (maybe they just hate teams that can be found in bowl of alphabet soup).. Warthogs running wild by 68+
Rhodesia Rates @ Somalia Warlords:
Alright Forbin.. I'll give you that.. you must have one Huge Fricken' Tusk! Good win last week! The Warlords are a team in transition and that doesn't usually result in many first season wins.. and this game won't make you feel better about it either! These Nasty Little Rodents will be knawing off ankles and taking no prisoners.. Ratels by 35
Ivory Coast Breakers @ Carthage Mad Clash:
This is a good news bad news report for ICB.. good news the Silverbacks have left Breaker Stadium (again.. not very original).. the bad news is your first in conference game in APL is against the Mad Clash (the projected #1 seed for the playoffs).. so take this how you want.. but it's your turn behind the wood shed.. I'd invest in some healing lotion for next week!! Mad Clash by 50
Swaziland Dachshunds @ Sons of Anubis:
This is another great match up.. it always is when these two teams get together.. in the last two seasons combined there have only been 33 points scored in this match up by these two teams combined! The Dachshunds decided to do a little showing off last week but they won't be getting 11 punt return TDs this week.. this is going to be a battle for every yard! I just hope the Sons aren't too beat up from playing D9 last week.. but since all of those 33 points were scored by the Sons.. I'll take SoA by 7 (oh and take the under for sure!)
*Sahara Sand Storm @ MaRAWK!! o:
* Game of the Week!!*
I know what you're thinking.. why in the hell is this the game of the week? It's because one of these two teams is going to be very happy to have there first ever APL ... W!!! Again two new teams that I don't really have a feel for yet.. so I'm going to have to give the coin toss to S3 (mostly because they carried a 20 game win streak into this season).. but it's really a coin toss.. .S3 by 3
anybody from last season knows that I don't do these on the weekend. .so if they seem rushed they are because it's f-ing happy hour!!
