will jumping increase my ability for diving tackles? thus better run sopport? i also heard that closing speed is good. in theory i believe raising stats for both these attributes will allow your SS to make more tackles on RB at the line of scrimmage. any thoughts?

Jumping helps diving tackles, as you can dive further. Closing speed is great for SS. As a safety, tackles should not be your main concern.
