Obviously this will not happen. When you are playing against the Ahlen Aces relax and know for sure you have a sure victory. I am not gonna flame their owner, although I have evry right 2 and so does everybody else on the team, but I will warn everybody now never ever accept a contract from them nor any team owned by their current owner. As the DC of the team I will be forced 2 put a ton of offensive starters in defensive positions due 2 lack of active human players, and not even gonna let my players wear themselves out 2 much since we have no chance of winning nor even want that team 2 win at this point. I have enjoyed this league and conference, even tho I barely started 2 get 2 know u guys and check the forums, but most of our players and myself will be leaving that team 2 be a pilotless ghost ship or see if I can get some help from Bort and his support staff.

Sorry throg, no doubt that's a terrible situation.

The Aces already lost a bunch of players and has more wholes than a mafia informent who got caught, so you can count any games against us in the win column even if you play your backups a ton. I have 2 add that in no way am I gonna give away our strategy or anything like that lol, just venting some frustration, and hopefully nobody thinks that I am giving any information that can't be obtained by simply looking at our team profile.

Jeez dude, sounds like a real bad situation - looks like the owner has cut all his own players - sounds like he could be getting ready to sell and run...

Hope things pick up for the Aces, hate to see a team dead in the water..

My advice, use this time to get players max XP and develop them as far as you can - as for holes in the squad, raid some d leagues and sign players to end of season contracts with the promise of playing time - might not win you games but sure will increase the development of any player. Then when your contract ends, make the right decision for your player.

he didnīt cut them, the contracts expired (along with a few others) and our owner just went AWOL on us.
as for raiding the d-league ... donīt think our GMs can sign players. am quite sure they would already have done so if they could.
weīre gonna involve the GLBPA today and see what happens. our owner stopped reading his PMs, though, so i guess the next step would be to PM Bort.
totally f***ed up situation.

hmm - looks like a catch 22 - hopefully the admins will step in and do something, or the owner pulls it together.

one of our players just posted in our team forum that he talked to serenity and ,since our owner still logs on regularly, thereīs nothing the admins can do right now.
and my contracts expire in season 4 day 13.

Have you tried PMing your owner in German, as his username would indicate he might be Germanic in origin. You could use google to find a translator to put together something basic.

i know for a fact that heīs german - and iīm german, too, so yes, i always PMed him in german. ;-)

but like i said, he doesnīt even read his PMs anymore (at least not mine).
as for my contract ... first contract i ever signed out of the d-league, so i was just happy to get one. didnīt really look out for trade clauses and stuff. and our owner seemed decent enough, but that was before he lost interest :-(

sorry - my bad... wish there was something as a league we could do, but as he's staying active it doesn't seem like the mods will step in. i'd suggest a post in the GLB forum to highlight your plight...

Wow that's a terrible situation. Takes all of the fun out of GLB for you guys. I tried to get a player off of another team where the owner had stopped trying, but the admins couldn't do anything b/c he still logged in.

donīt tell me stuff like that. makes it seem like thereīs no hope for me to get off this team ītil my contract expires ... in about 50 days ... this really does take the fun out of the game.

WOOOOW! What a real McA**Hole!! What I might suggest is a "petition" of some sorts to rally against the owner, this will give sufficient evidence to the admins or higher up possibly. Who knows if it'll work, but it's worth a try, wouldn't you say?

actually our GMs are trying everything possible (big thanks to tha throgman and BB here). we have petition kinda thing that was send to the GLBPA, if that doesnīt help weīll go to the admins (actually throg already send a PM). and since our owner wasnīt online for 4 days now, thereīs hope.
keep your fingers crossed!

crap our game is scheduled at the end of the season LOL ... well gl guys in finding a solution asap
