Raise vision?

He looks like he's playing outside run zone. Raising his vision would at least help him read the play more quickly but a lot of it has to do with your game tactics. If you just want him to rush the QB every down set your inside run D at 100. It'll suck for the rest of your team but he'll pass rush.

I've noticed that too with DEs at times. I don't know if there is a coach's setting or what. DEs should rarely if ever drop into coverage. In fact the only reason I see a DE dropping into coverage is during a zone blitz.
Maybe its vision. Maybe its just the way the game is programmed...

I am the coach....I had the inside run D set at 40 outside at 60

I think that's how the game is set up to defend the outside run...by dropping the DE off the LOS on the snap. Kinda weird though...
