I don't have shit for time, and this really isn't my baby any more. That said, I feel these need to be out here bad. Sorry that this isn't going to do any of them justice. Still, at the very least, here are the last tests I did and suggestions. I don't have posting abilities in the proper sub forum. So, if/when the appropriate mods do get that stuff updated over there, feel free to delete this thread. Also PLS keep in mind that I'm SURE these aren't the final versions So, don't freak that Look Off isn't firing enough, that the entire D is faked by the currently not firing enough pump fake or that catch fake has the potential to cripple a DB at it's most extreme lvl of firing. I'm sure all of those things will be changes, as well as the stamina/energy stuff adjusted.

Finally, don't ask me about any other new SA. I haven't seen them or have any idea of their effectiveness or lack there of. Catch has been testing them all himself, and he should be.

Fakes (10 in Look Off, 10 Catch Fake)

Still plenty of CFs that don't do much (and I'm perfectly fine with that)
http://test.goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=2032&pbp_id=437394

We may want to turn the extreme impact of CF down to about 3/4ths as severe as this...not make anything under worse case any less, just ceiling in at 75% of this

There does still seem to be a higher than normal bad throws after a CF though

PFs seem to be firing off a bit more

The Single Back Quick Slant really does get on a person's nerves how the WRs just stop right next to each other. Could you maybe extend both of their routes another 5-10 yards? At least that way they wouldn't be sitting in each other's laps

Suggestions
87 pass attempts I watched, one or more D guys were PFed 7 times or on 8% of the plays. IMO, that # should be hitting at least 10% on the CBs in coverage and 20% on the zone cover guys. It's getting closer, but not there. I believe if we just bumped the ease in which D dots actively covering an O dot could be PFed by X and then bumped zone dots NOT actively covering by X*4 or something like that we'd be getting closer still.

The other issue that's a little tricky is that it'd be nice if PFing 4 or more dots at the same time happened only very rarely. I'm just not 100% sure how you pull that off. The LBs & DLmen in zone are the easiest to PF. So, if you made it harder after the first 1-2 dots bite, you'd most likley go back to almost never PFing CBs & Safes again. If you decrease the radius around the PFed WRing target that is effected, that may help, but you still need to pickup those Safes, since they should be most susceptible to it. So, it couldn't be a very big radius reduction. If you could then make it so that the 1-3 deep zone D dots were the easiest to PF, I believe you may be on the right track.

Perfectly fine with how CF is working and its occurrence rate, but I'd reduce the most extreme impact of CF down to about 3/4ths as severe as this...not make anything under worse case any less, just ceiling in at 75% of this
http://test.goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=2032&pbp_id=437400

I think it's time to acknowledge that LO just isn't firing anywhere near as much as it should. We've got to be talking about watch a 1/2 or more of 5-7 test games, each one containing some level of zone D and I can count on 1 hand how many times I've seen it, 0 in the 1st 1/2 of this test. It just plain isn't firing anywhere near enough to be worth investing in, Bort.

We flat out will have to make it more difficult to complete long passes against good coverage. I could see a slight increase to the decrease of pass quality on balls thrown over 25 yards (20 if measured from the LOS), maybe 10%, but make the PD & int rolls 30% easier for the DBs to win. On balls thrown between 15-25 yards (10-20 if measured from the LOS) a 5% pass quality hit and 20% easier for DBs to win the PD & int rolls. On balls under 15 (10 from LOS), just leave as is....As always, I'm not talking about increasing the radius, but just their success within that radius. If we don't, the pass game may become unstoppable.

Finally, once we get all of this looking good here, we need to make the builds worse and retest. We just need to be sure this stuff fires at a reasonable lvl with good dots like these, but not at an obscene lvl against more blah dots.

Personally, I like that stamina where it is. Most of these dots have stamina in the 50-60 range and their ending energy lvls look about what I'd like to see

The Confidence/morale thing is a different story, though. I just checked about 3/4ths of the dots on Jacks. The lowest confidence I saw was 50, with most being 55-60 and a good share over 60. DT2, for example, with his 31 morale, has 55 confidence. RG 2, with his 33 morale, actually has 75 confidence. That's just way too harsh. I just checked the summaries for every loss I had this ssn on GLB Live for 3 teams. The swing is extreme, IMO

Suggestions
Leave the new stamina/energy settings as is. I like them and think it will bite those with 30 stamina p hard (though that should be tested), but the energy lvls are reasonable at the end of the game for those with stamina in the 50-60 range

Confidence/morale needs to be scaled WAY back. If you doubled the effect of what it was, now reduce it by 35% and lets test it again.

All of these plays appear to work properly. If anything the FB inside rushes out of Pro look like they may be a little overpowered. However, I think it is more a result of the Team 4 DTs being tired/demoralized as the game progressed.

Great update, thanks.

I am not 100% sure about this. By my logic says that players that are alnog the QB vision line should be easier to pump fake then others. When you think the pass is coming your way you "have to" react, while if you are far away from the pass you will not try to jump the pass, and can be sure before heading toward the receiver.

Is the new sim going to have the text letting us know when a fake fires?

While this is by far the most appropriate forum for this information (at least at this time), it should be made more readily available to all the players imo. If it gets closed, that's fine, but I'm going to put a thread linking this thread in the main forum....at least until it gets ca-clicked.

The Single Back Quick Slant really does get on a person's nerves how the WRs just stop right next to each other. Could you maybe extend both of their routes another 5-10 yards? At least that way they wouldn't be sitting in each other's laps

What the hell? I used this play a lot last season and the WR's never stopped. Huh?

Completely agree....I may be a smidge out of line by making this thread here, but I'm 99.999999999% sure Catch will cut me some slack on that because it at least needed to be here a week or 2 ago already (and I think the link to the main forum was a good move, too). Not sure what has happened to the Q&A guys, but we need them. They were doing a hell of a job. Must have r/l stuff going on or something.

about the only absolutely "must see" is to click some links in the OP to see some of the fakes, and those will likely get altered. Other than that, you can check out the play diagrams from Bort's post in the 3rd post, as well as see them in action, if you want, in mine or Rage's. Finally, just know that stamina and confidence will be more important, but hopefully confidence/morale is reduced some from where it is now on the test server

If it stays where it is the game might wind up unplayable. I don't think the intent of increasing the morale was / should be to force everyone to have 80+ confidence. It should penalize those with 30 confidence though, especially at higher levels.

yeah, I don't see it staying that way either, and Bort even commented that the settings may be lol when he first set it up

Agreed. I do think that the importance of morale needs to be increased, but these levels are lol. PP, did the dots on the Funk have any morale inducing SAs? Also, did Catch ever decide to improve those SAs?

Some SAs are currently overpowered, but will be adjusted. The new plays are being tested and look good.
