How do you exchange a % AE Piece for the Shopping Tokens? Or Refund Tokens?

Can you please clarify this:
"If you are 80 days or younger, you have until the END of preseason to select an archetype or to retire the player to receive a full flex refund (this includes for Custom EQ). If you do not choose one by then, a default one will be chosen for you. If you do not retire your player by the end of preseason, you will not get a full flex refund if you then retire.
For all pre-existing players (meaning they were created before day 41), you have until the end of the pre-season to select an archetype. If you do not choose one by then, you will not ever be able to select an archetype again and will continue operating under the old player development system."
The above basically counters itself. In the first paragraph it says if I don't chose, one will be chosen for me. The second paragraph says if I don't choose, I never get to choose again. So I have 79 day old players, who were created before day 41. What's the deal?

For most positions, this seems kinda moot, but for offensive linemen it's a pretty big impact since the new archetypes don't offer a balanced option, just run/pass/special teams.

Players greater than 80 days have the option to choose an archetype, but are not required to do so. I didn't see this asked anywhere ...I can exchange my 3 speed + % piece for the new options or refund, right? I am not seeing an option for refund and the options I have say nothing about the +3 speed only the new SA & % options. I just want to make sure I don't screw myself out of the speed part before I hit the button. Help please. Thanks

Sell it - if you mouse over the sell button if it's eligible for refund tokens a "sell for 25 refund tokens" message will appear.

Do you have an Exchange link for that piece? If so, you can sell it for refund tokens (just mouse over sell button and you will see that). Options are just showing the part you are converting - so if you have a +attribute, +% piece it will just show you what you are converting the +% piece to. It'll be +3, +whatever you convert to if that was your base piece.

If you have a player who currently has the Scat Back VA, then choose the archetype with route running as his new SA... but you DON'T put any actual points into the new Route Running SA... does it still cancel out the Scat Back VA for this upcoming season?

Ok when I go to convert my +3Speed Tackle% and BreakBlock%. It only shows that I am choosing an attribute. Do I get to choose anything else after I accept the +3speed? Or am I just trading it in for a +3speed AEQ?
