I'm more of a casual player of this game and looking for some advice on my first ever linebacker. First of all, am I on the right track? Second does it seem like he'll be a better fit in the middle or outside? 4/3 or 3/4? And finally... once I boost to lvl 19, I'll have 35 SP to spend and would love to hear some thoughts.

I think you're ok so far. He can play anywhere depending on what you do next. If you soft cap strength, he'll be ok at MLB. Second and third cap speed and he'd be better outside.

And don't be saving SP's, decide what you're working on and pump points in as you get them, You could've capped speed with those SP's and now be getting ALG's at a higher rate.
