So, I asked during the Q&A about Superior Vision.

Super vision has been described as it only applies when playing defense - not offense or special teams. Yet, it's strangely absent from all the exclusion SA lists, unlike things like blitzing SAs that are clearly defense only and only available to defensive positions.
Is this an oversight on the exclusion list, or is it going to do something on offense/STs now? Can it either be added to the exclusion list or can we get a description of how it affects offensive positions?

I'm pretty disappointed in this answer, for two reasons.
1) I specifically pointed out that Bort has been quoted in the past as saying SV does not work on special teams. He rather casually answered that it does, so that's a set of conflicting answers that someone should resolve at some point.
2) There are plenty of SAs that would be useful on special teams for tacklers, but they're still on the exclusion list for most positions. Big Hit, Monster Hit, Wrap Up Tackle, these would all be useful as tackling STers. But QBs and OLs can't have them - they're excluded. I maintain that if Superior Vision is in this category of SAs, then it too should be excluded from positions like OL, HB, TE, WR, QB and left in defense and STOPs.

This is the sort of minor issue that I'd think could be fixed really easily by just saying "Oh, yeah, you're right, we'll add it" as long as it's before implementation. Otherwise, just go ahead and get ready for the never-ending stream of questions on whether Superior Vision works for QBs and what it does. It's a confusion point for players new to the system (which we all will be when it implements, and any new player to the game will be when they join) that should just be eliminated before it's created.

1) There does seem to be a conflict with some vague info from the past, but the current info from Catch's list and Bort's comment seems clear. Bort said it can be used by special teams tacklers, and it's not on the SA Exclusion list. I don't see the problem here.
2) I agree with your logic here.

I agree that some new players will wonder if it works for offense type stuff. That's probably worth pushing to get it excluded. So +1

SV doesn't work for special teams with regard to return men finding the best route. people used to think it helped their returners. maybe it did and bort quickly closed that hole because that wasn't his intent??? that's another thought for another day.

The quote is actually different. It's Originally posted by Bort

Bort, does supervision work on offense? Just curious for if an offensive player finds a AeQ piece with it

No, it only applies on D.

Now, while what his answer is would exlude special teams, it's pretty obvious that the intent of his answer is "no, it doesn't help ball carriers".

With the frequent vagueness of Bort, I would not have taken that quote to mean it doesn't help STOPs in pursuit.

But it needs to be excluded from positions that it cant "possibly" help. If it can help it should be available.

The point is it could possibly help any position...if they play on special teams coverage units. So you can't exclude it...

The point is, you can say the same thing about Big Hit, Monster Hit, Diving Tackle, Closing Speed, etc. But these are all currently excluded for offensive players. So the question is why is Super Vision being treated differently?

Good point

Did not realize there was a separate exclusion list for STOPs.

Superior Vision should be on the exclusion list for offensive players.
