that seems like a valid reason to have them, not to not have them
Speedsters will still choose the speedster archetype if they have any interest in using jukes, which most do.
Possession guys will still choose the possession archetype for the tremendous compilation of catching oriented majors and a more possession focused SA setup
I just want slot machine WRs to have a better option than possession tbh.
You're pigeonholed into taking an archetype that neglects speed, and considering route running and slot machine VA are focused on producing greater mobility you'll see slower targets not even getting targeted because they're surrounded by defenders and third in the QB checkdown
while the 130+ speed guy that still manages to have 75 catching because his majors are speed/agility/catching (let's be honest those are the only three things a speedster needs aside from maybe vision, which just so happens to be another one of their majors) is creating separation regularly and sits comfortably as the primary receiver.
The only weakness a speedster will have is lower strength, something I suspect most owners will correct in order to avoid KL
while possession receivers are basically the new blocking Fb, doing their most important stat last.
