I'm not tryin' to rain on anybody's parade, but everything anybody has shown so far and everything done now is to get the ball carrier to the L.O.S. as fast as possible.

There's no counter game or any conventional power plays.

I agree. There is no misdirection, and I think it would be moot at this point since the defense doesn't react to any reads. It's just "recognize the play, and go". So if we get a counter, the defense would recognize it after the counter step, and just key off the HB.

Which reminds me, the benefit of having OL taller than the HB is the HB can "hide" behind the OL. I don't think we can do this in GLB, since the dots vision seems to be the entire field, even behind/around defenders and blockers.

Although in a future update I'd love to see a few high completion plays to wr's behind the line of scrimmage. Something that could let the Power or possibly Elusive builds try to earn their yards after the catch, without having to win deflection rolls vs 2-3 defenders.

This, although I'm going to hate it on my CBs.

Ha, with the plan on my CBs, I'd like it. The one thing I'm going to hate is if we can finally teach QBs how to put the ball over the top of the defender on streaks. My guys will be stronger, but slower.

Was the WI QB Rollout Weak left out on purpose? It's not in TxSteve's OP.

I cant believe that two of the most famous offensive plays have not even been addressed Student Body right made famous by the Green Bay Packers(Packer Sweep) and Trap plays

Couple suggestions, some probably will be addressed if the suggested plays are implemented...

1. I think we need more "mirrored" runs in each formation. Look at the Singleback formation, each rushing play has a mirror play to the opposite side. While we might not be able to mirror every play, I think we can mirror more than what we have in the other formations.

2. We need some FB runs in the Weak-I as we currently have ZERO. Not sure why this was ever the case.

3. We need QB rushes, both outside and inside, in EVERY formation. Would keep defenses more honest.

4. We need more short passes out of the 5WR formation. With no rushing other than the QB, it's too easy to set a defense against a medium to long pass.

5. Pro-Set needs more inside runs. Most people just stack the outside, not a big threat inside.

6. 3WR Shotgun needs more runs in general. Too easy to defend only against the pass as the running plays are weak.

7. Why isn't there a strong side dive with a lead blocker out of the SI and weak side dive with a lead blocker out of the WI? Plays similar to the IF HB Blast, but out of the SI and WI.

Few things we need to fix...

1. Weak side hand-offs - in Pee-Wee, I often see the HB on a weak side hand-off (mainly from WI and IF) hit the LoS, and suddenly jump sideways towards the sideline, then turn back up field closer to the CB. This often results in no gain. Not sure if this happens in higher level leagues, but not many Pee-Wee teams run these plays for this reason.

2. Pause on some slam/dive plays - There is a pause on some slam and dive plays, like the HB bobbled the hand-off, but they only happen on certain plays in certain formations. I mainly see them on the GL HB Sting, IF HB Slam(but not on weak side one), and any inside run out of the Singleback. I have only noticed these in Pee-Wee, so not sure if they exist at the higher levels.

This, emphatically.

The issues Bort continues to deal with season after season with OL/DL interaction, CB/WR coverage interaction, etc, etc would become moot if he could figure out how to fix the defensive 360 degree field of vision and omniscience.

The OL wouldn't have to be godlike if the DL weren't automatically aware of the play call before the snap of the ball.

I'd like to see a legit true 4 WR formation at some point (think Run-and-Shoot with QB under center or the current "spread" style ala Mike Leach at Texas Tech).

In terms of plays, it'd be nice to see more variations in the plays (especially passing) themselves.

Example: Long TE there's only 4 passes. 2 are the same play virtually, just in different formations. There's no Square Out, no Square In, no Deep Post Inside or Deep Post outside (aside from a fake in to out).

Long HB has just 2 plays! Both are basically verticals. There's no pass that is an arrow to the sidelines for example or even a wheel route down the sideline.

I understand the sentiment from defensive coordinators that an OPC would be prone to exploits but it'd also give the user base a HUGE ability to actually create their own offensive playbooks the way they want. If a guy wants to create a Mike Leach style Air Raid playbook they can or they can create their own West Coast Offense look.

I'll see if I can edit this post later with some quickly drawn up plays using GLB formations. Not sure how to get the blank GLB play thing that others use though.

Edited to add what I created very quickly using just I Formation and 5 WR formations.
