Warrior General Games

Has anyone here built a good pulling guard? I notice on a lot of plays our RG tries to get to the outside, but he has too little speed and our HB is already long gone by the time he gets there.

If you've built a pulling guard what's his build like? I'm guessing at least 30 speed is needed on top of high vision and agility.

My G last year was pretty good at pulling, especially at the end of the year when I got his strength up high enough to pancake the first, and get into the next level...

i have mid 20 speed/agility/vision

Combine that with mid 60's strength and i'm packing a powerful punch as a Lvl 16.

I remember someone saying you need a third of your RB's speed to pull effectively. That does seem excessive though so don't quote me on that.

I was working on it myself, until Bort "fixed" something in the pulling matrix and now the Left guard never pulls, so I stopped. So currently my level 17 Guard has has Speed: 24.52 and Agility: 24.73.

My G has over 30/30 speed agility and over 35 vision and I still cannot get off the line and into the outside. Pancaking and moving down field is a different story, but getting to the outside is a complete bust.

Same here. It's pretty frustrating. It's such a huge part of the game.
