My FS is fast, has good vision, and is a good tackler. He is great at batting down passes, but never gets an interception.

Do I need catching to get an interception, or some other attribute?

Catching helps. Defensive backs with 30+ will get more INTs. IMO, it is usually the case the corners are going to have a lot more opportunities to deflect or intercept passes so be careful who you are comparing yourself to.

Even one of the highest leveled FS's in the game only has 1 int all time...

My SS didnt get interception until I trained catching up to about 20+ and now he gets one every few games. My CB gets alot of interceptions though. Had I think 7 last season and already has 1 this season.

I've only got a couple ever and I have one of the best pass defense ratings for a FS there is right now. It has a lot to do with luck and a lot of the time a QB won't throw to the side a FS is on.

This is very true in this game. I tend to find that the QB throws away from me about 85% of the time.

As for picks, I got my first last game - playing man against a TE.

i wish my guy could get some he deflects a bout 3 a game. maybe i should set him to jump more passes

At least you get deflections. My opponents won't even through near me. Now that's respect.

Ask your team to move you to the other side of the field (SS-FS switch)... see what happens.

I would, but my SS is the much better of the two suited for tackling, and the starting FS is the much better of the two suited for coverage. Works out really well though. They compliment eachother nicely.

I guess I've been lucky. My SS had 5 ints last year, three in one game.

Careful what you wish for. If your FS is making Ints then some one is getting beaten. That and the fact your FS is usually deeper in the back field. He grabs a ball on a 4th down gamble and gets tackled deeper in your zone than if he had just knocked it down and turn over on downs. Now having said that I wait for the day my FS gets a pick and goes long
